Doesn't offend me in that way. I use it and have always used it. I can't be hypocritical and say that it offends me now. If Ike is prejudiced and more specifically racist then that would offend me.

He is a bit of a loose cannon but that's not for anyone other than Biggie to sort out. It's his call on that one.

Actually I'm am being for real. I grew up in a neighborhood that was predominantly African American. The word was used rather freely and I never remember anyone taking offense whenever the word happened to be used.

It was not used in school whenever there was an academic discussion taking place, but there many words that aren't used during such discussions.

This made me desensitized to the use of the word. However I don't say this to suggest that others shouldn't be offended by its use.

It makes you wonder if Ike South holds other views regarding African Americans. That is where my concern would be. In this particular instance there weren't any references to anyone's race yet he decided to use the word. This is suggestive of something else existent in the mind of a Ike South.
