Taj Gibson is a bum as a starter. He provides effort but that's it. 7 points and 7 rebounds for a starting power forward is putrid. Those are Luc Longley like numbers.

He can't pass either. He is a poor fit for pace and space. Tony Snell doesn't score enough either. They don't have to guard either of them and it bogs the offense down. Mirotic is not the shooter that he was advertised to be either.

Butler is a bad three point shooter and so is Rose. That kills the space part of the system and Gasol and Taj can't run which kills your pace. Butler is also more of a half court player so the push part of the offense is non existent.

I can accept that the personnel doesn't fit Hoiberg's "system" but I can't accept that they don't have enough talent. They are talented enough to compete for a top three spot in the east. Thibs proved that last year when he went 50-32 with Rose and Noah missing a lot of time. Hoiberg needs to grow up fast or gtfo and take Forman with him.

Gasol had a hell of a yr for them last yr and it was doubtful that he'd duplicate it this yr. He was arguably along with Butler their best player. They aren't getting anything from the 3 and 4 spot. Dunleavy played a key role last yr. .500 without him. Mirotic has regressed also.

They have talent but they don't have the talent to run his system. Doug Collins just stated the same thing.

Their bench is also thin. It was apparent in the game against G.S. and also last night against Boston.

You have to adjust the system to fit the personnel. Someone who was recruited like he was by management should be imaginative enough to figure things out with the guys he has. If not then he simply doesn't belong in the league as a HC. We've got high standards around here for HC thanks to Thibs. Hoiberg's offense sucks and the critiques from Noah and Butler earlier this year bring to mind what the Cavs used to say about Blatt. The d is statistically good this year but I think that's more residue from Thibs than it is anything wonderboy is doing. The d will regress next year to reflect the mediocrity that is Hoiberg. Steve Kerr my ass, more like Marc Trestman.

This game is already depressing. Cleveland just missed 78 shots in a row and they are still probably gonna win by double digits.

It's not like the Bulls were an offensive juggernaut last yr. Those scoring droughts during the season and especially during the playoffs were pathetic. Their offense was extremely predictable.

I agree that he needs to adjust to the personnel that he has. You can't force feed the system to guys that are incapable of running it.

Ain't it the truth! We are REALLY fucked if Miro has to be the big scorer.

And WTF is wrong with Brooks? He can't hit shit anymore!

I didn't watch the game but I just saw the box score a it looked like Gibson and Gasol played well and Butler stepped up against LeBron.

Gibson always plays great against LeBron teams. It'd be nice if he could do that against the other 28 teams consistently.

I like when he put his nuts on Wade's chin.
