Before anyone posts a laugh emoji I would strongly consider revoking my MN fandom if Wiggins or Towns is traded for Jimmy. This is about the extent of what I'd give up.

I know this was directed at Bagels...do you think Sacco and Vanzetti will make a deal with a guy they fired? No way

It seems like they've already been talking if the "rumors" have any merit, but I do see what you're saying.

I feel like Thibs desperately wants one of his former players to enter the MN locker room, and show the young guys what winning is all about. I have my doubts if Jimmy is that guy tho. It's definitely not Derrick Rose either.

Brick you have been conspicuously silent on the Butler front. Butler says that he wants to lead the Bulls back to prominence. He reportedly passed on a deal to Cleveland because of it how do you feel about him passing up a championship chase to remain in CHI?

Let the hypocrisy begin.

You're actively trying to get Brick to post and argue with you? That is a new technique around here.

This championship will always have an asterisk next to it. In 30 years when analysts and talk show hosts discuss best NBA teams in history....the hosts will always mention how the Durant Warriors faced nowhere near the type of competition champions in other eras had to deal with. And when discussing Durant...he will always fall short of other greats because his championship(s) was/were granted to him... he had to join an already crowned champion against a weak league to win his. Hall of Famers will ostracize him.

You must be confused. That link does not say that a deal was in place but was rejected by Butler.

No it wouldn't. You almost certainly won't get a player of Butler's caliber in return there.

Butler is the Ben Wallace of shooting guards. He's going to be done in 2 years. I wouldn't touch him unless I could compete for a championship next year.

1. Old Timers always talk about how it was tougher for them...you can only win the championships in the era you played in, you sound like people who hold on to the 1985 Bears of undefeated Dolphins.

2. He is really no different than LBJ going to Miami and then coming back.

3. They weren't a crowned anything, they lost the year before to the team they just beat.

Butler can t reject a trade but he sent word that he'd rather stay with the mediocre Bulls than compete for a championship.

For real though. He's played six seasons and gotten better in every one of them and you think he's gonna be done after 8? If I wasn't already bankrupting you on the Quintana wager I'd offer another one on this

@KCJHoop: Not big surprise because of way contract is structured ($3M guaranteed of $13.4M) but Rondo is part of some of the Butler talks.

Huh? Snell had a better year than Etwaun Moore last year.

I'm just wondering why you aren't questioning Butler's will to win. Isn't that sort of a thing with you?

Neither does Butler so it's essentially a wash. If #7 is thrown in or even a swap of picks do it.
