Remember back circa 03-04 there was talk of a possible MLB work stoppage in the middle of the season, around Aug-Sept IIRC? well the deadline to get whatever done was a Friday and on that Friday the cardinals came up 55/57/whatever to do the weekend road trip and because there was looming uncertainty about whether or not the games would be played a lot of cubs fans were 2cool4school to show up and all the #BFIB (#BestFansInBaseball -- #JustAskThem) who came up for the series showed up, resulting in a decidedly pro-cardinals atmosphere unlike anything i had ever experienced in all of my sporting events over the years. The 7th inning stretch was literally ROOT ROOT ROOT FOR THE *CARDINALS* FFS!!!
