Rose was already starting to lose some of his athletic ability. It happens to all players. They get smarter and better and rely less on sheer athleticism.

I wouldn't worry about Rose. It's not like his athletic ability was winning them titles. He needed to mature as a player. He will and be as good as ever.

I agree. We can hem and haw and squawk but we just won't know until he comes back. A lot of factors play into how good he will be upon return.

What we do know is that he will go 200% and be totally dedicated to his rehab and that he had some of the best surgeons around fixing his knee.

If he comes back and ends up being 85%-90% Derrick Rose instead of the 100% Pre-Injury D-Rose, he will still be an elite PG and an elite NBA player. Anyways, whether he comes back at elite level or he didn't get injured in the first place doesn't take away from the fact that GarPax needs to get a REAL #2 scorer for this team to have any chance to win a championship.
