Hate to see a guy like Wade go down, but looking at this from a practical standpoint, Miami may be in trouble if he's out for an extended period of time. The Heat are holding on to the 8 seed right now. While this has little or no effect on the Bulls making the playoffs, it could prove beneficial to the Knicks, who are currently just 3 games back of Miami. Hope he gets back on the floor soon... |

I'm praying he's back within a month - I have him on my fantasy team, and it's impossible (obviously) to lose the best fantasy player in the league. |

Yup, me too. I am in 2 fantasy leagues: the one for this board, and another. Between those two, here are a few of the players I've lost for long stretches of time: Michael Redd Carmelo Anthony Shaquille O'Neil Nenad Kristic Now add Dwayne Wade for both teams; god I'm getting hosed on injuries this year. |

That's a rough stretch of injuries/suspension....I lost Kristic as well, but picked up Mark Blount and Tyson Chandler before he re-emergeed....can't overcome the loss of Wade though. |

Now they're entertaining the possibility of season-ending surgery. All I can say is New Jersey better get their shit together. |

Quote: Heat (no pun intended), ice, stretching, cortizone shots - two weeks tops.
If he is back in two weeks, I want his doctor's magic meds and I want the local Illinois Bone and Joint orthopedists investigated for malpractice. I'm not a professional athlete, but I've done all the therapy religiously and I'm still feeling the effects of a similar shoulder injury from months ago. |
