ESPN reporting that the Timberwolves are offering 5th overall pick in next week's draft for Jimmy. I say GarPax makes the move.

 Was just coming here to post this.

They better get a whole lot more than a #5 pick.

I miss our NBA debates.

I actually completely agree with you on that.

Thibs wants Noah & Butler ... makes sense to me.

What else do you get besides this year's #5? It's not like there's a great deal of potential for them to suck much longer. Towns & the #5 wouldn't be bad. I mean, it's all academic for next year anyway. Now I'm thinking about this crapfest and it's depressing ... thanks, jerks.

I bet Boston would give up their third and next years first for Jimmy... Paxson will fuck this up.

Do you have evidence to support this?

Boston is telling everybody that their #3 pick is available.. I'm assuming you could get their 1st round pick next year from them too since Jimmy has tons of value... Boston is close, they get jimmy..they win the east next year...pax will fuck this up though.

No way they give up Towns.

Not sure Jimmy is worth multiple lottery picks. Especially with all of his injuries.

Lottery picks are a crap shoot. Butler is a proven commodity but they should look to deal him in the right package (like demanding Rose go with).

See if they find a sucker...

 Butler and the next two Bulls first round picks isn't getting you Towns. He's borderline untouchable.

I'd ask for something like LaVine, Dieng, the #5 and a future pick for Butler/Noah.

Exactly right, which is why #5 overall deserves at least a meeting.

Absolutely. And Thibs has to be there so he can lean back in his chair, sip scotch, and laugh.

Would you take all 3 of Bostons 1st round picks? (3,16 & 23)

I'd be pretty insistent on wanting Avery Bradley with the 3rd pick. I think the Celtics would be willing to part with him if pushed.

Which way does Jerry view Butler?

a) Underpaid guy at 16 mildo given new salary cap coming, or
b) Guy you no longer have to pay 16 mildo replaced with rookie contracts

Is he #Family yet?

Noah is a FA...and Thibs don't want him anyway.. Nobody has to deal with the bulls to get Noah.

No..23 don't have much value at all..I'd want Their #3 this year and a top 12 either next year or year after..

A few of you lads would be well served to refresh your acquaintance with the word 'facetious', as in "my post about the Timberwolves trading their young center was a facetious one'. Next time I'll put a half-dozen emoticons to help make that more clear.

Having said that, I see where the FO are allegedly saying anything less than Wiggins & the #5 wouldn't be accepted ... so this is all really a non-story, at least where Minnesota is concerned.

Butler and Hoiberg for Thibs and Twolves 12th man. That would improve the Bulls by 5-10 games next year.

I'm surprised you had time to respond to my post since you have to think and respond for FavreFan all the time too.

I read an article the past week saying Thibs and the T'Wolves are going to pursue Noah in FA. Think about it, Noah and Garnett don't have to play big minutes, but they are there to help install the defense and provide much needed veteran support to this team. I think it would be a great move to add Noah, regardless if they can swing a trade for Butler.

One thing is for sure, Thibs isn't fucking around.

He said that before Thibs was hired, and I haven't heard anything about it since. Thibs and Garnett really like each other from the Boston days. I just don't think Garnett will pass up this opportunity... I could be dead wrong, and KG could retire next week tho.
