ok i feel bad about making another hoiberg thread in a forum where ~2/3 or 3/4 of the top posts you see are all hoiberg related, but i wanted to make this poll to ask if people agree with a realization that hit me earlier today: Fred Hoiberg is basketball Robin Ventura! seriusly, it's like.... he's not especially good at anything, he's horribly deficient in some areas (defense, akin to robin's baserunning stuff. ask JORR about that) however he seems a generally affable-enough-bloke to hang out with some teams that are kinda "meh to blah" like he isn't really the problem *COUGHCOUGHGARPAXCOUGHHACKWHEEZE* but he definitely isn't going to help, especially when he's in a situation where you'd actually need to have a really good manager/head-coach to be able to squeeze the most out of a generally pedestrian lot (aside from a pretty depressing old dwyane wade [says a guy older than him] and of course jimmy "MY TURN!" buckets, aka jimmy "who the fuck else do you want to shoot it?" buckets. so yeah.... eat, drink, and be merry! happy new years yall! see you in the inevitable parody thread "is Rick Renteria baseball-Rick-Renteria?" |

He's more Tim Floyd, pretty good at the college level but not so much at the pro level. |
