Hell of a game tonight for Tyrus Thomas; how about that reverse alley-oop jam? Hopefully this is the fist of many games where Thomas gets the bulk of the time, and Brown sits.

The first five minutes of the game I kept forgetting the Bull was in green.

Thomas seems to be getting used to the NBA, now if he only had a low post game. I guess all of the alley-oops are kinda like a low post game. Now we just need to see meaningful minutes for him the rest of the season. He needs to show up more often.

He still has a ways to go, no doubt about it. He needs to get more confidence in the 10-15' jumpshot, he needs to do better at the line, and yeah, he needs to work on the post. That said, I still say they give him the bulk of the minutes, simply because Brown is no better.

He was electric. But let's not go over board. He had some lobs becasue nobody guarded him. And he also had 7 turnovers.

But that first lob - the reverse dunk - was pretty special.

Great minds think alike Nas. So it doesn't make sense that we agree on this one Nas. LOL.

He is still at least 2 years away. A lot of you guys get excited by his athleticism but he is still raw.

True, but I already prefer him over Chandler. ;)

This felt like a game where Skiles said "Just go out and have fun", and they kept throwing lobs to Tyrus and Big Ben took 20 shots. Really weird, and a lot different than any game I've watched this team play all year.

That's not saying much. You would prefer shit on a stick over Chandler.

That's true, because I feel Chandler is lazy (I don't mind lazy people, but I do mind lazy athletes). But nonetheless, I think he'll bring more to the Bulls by mid-season next year than Chandler ever would have.

By the way, I've about had my fill of Duhon. Kind of derailing my own thread here, but geez, make a layup.

Well. They're two different players. Two different positions. You could have them both. It's not like one replaced the other. Tyrus is between a 3 and a 4 right now. He'll eventually be a strong 4 once he learns and gets stronger. Chandler is a center.

That's true, but they're both kind of specialists, who do a few things and not much else. You wouldn't really want them both, because they basically do similar things. But Thomas does them better.

Only if Tyrus develops and offensive game could we have them both. I think he will. But I've seen enough raw guys to know that it might not happen.

I would be happy if Skiles sat Brown for the rest of the season. He blows. Thomas makes more mistakes, but he also makes more positive plays and tends to energize his teammates when he's in the game.

We are in accord. Brown had a few good games, but he's like a rookie himself, where, he's woefully inconsistent.
