Krause always deluded himself into thinking he didn't get his due because of his weight and appearance. The truth is the guy was an underhanded, creepy fuck who embodied so many stereotypes that he was like a walking (rarely) cartoon character. He won six titles. He also dismantled a six title team and then rebuilt it in his ideal image. His ideal image resulted in the worst stretch of basketball in the history of the franchise. |

Everyone's been fixating on his "OKP: Our Kind of People" mantra. Disregarding that one of our kind of people was the greatest basketball player who ever lived, how is this better than "Chicago Tough" or "good Western Canadian boys" or "character guys" or any of that crap? And as Dolphin alluded to, the legacy of "our kind of people" has been spying, backbiting freaks like John Paxson and Pete Myers. That's the Bulls' kind of people. |

On what show? and later on another ESPN show. I believe it was a tweet and he was in lock-step with all the other tributes. 6 titles, blah, blah, blah. Good man blah, blah, blah. I must have heard 6 or seven testimonials (no Pippen)... some by the talking heads and not a SINGLE one spoke the words "Players don't win championships" I know it's useless to beat a dead horse, but why can't you beat a dead, bloated asshole? |

IMO, it was the right philosophy, he just happened to be sattled with one of the worst periods of NBA drafts during that time (99-02) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_NBA_draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_NBA_draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_NBA_draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_NBA_draft Look at that crap, not single player will even sniff the HOF. Now he did botch the signing of both TMac and Hill, but Grant Hill's career was ruined due to injury as soon as he left Detroit. I respect his way over the "hey let's try not to be THAT bad" philopshoy of Gar/Paxson. |

There's a few that will make the HOF, but overall you are right. That was the era of bad high-school project drafts where teams overreached. |

I forgot the basketball HOF includes College, Eurotrash ball etc. So Gasol is in. Probably Rip Hamilton too. Maybe Shane Battier, but not one player drafted during this error was a true top 5 superstar in the league at any point in time aka.. The "Alpha" on a championship winning team. |

So if organizations win championships then we can also assume that organizations plan funerals too, right? |

Hell, give him some credit for finding Artest @ 16k in 1999. Artest would have been a HOF lock if he wasn't mentally unstable. He still might make it, I don't know. I think the BB HOF is worthless. |

At a glance, I would say these guys get in: Yao (I think he's already in, but he's there for reasons other than numbers) Manu Ginobli Pau Gasol Jason Collins (You know why) Zach Randolph Tony Parker Woof, there's a ton of bad in those drafts. 2000 is particularly awful. |

Don't know how I missed Ginobli or Parker, may bad. If they let an Asian in I guess they have to let a Handicap or Gay in (Collins) |

Ron Artest and Shane Battier aren't making any Hall of Fames. |

Not in the NBA, you either want to be a contender or awful. In fact they should have been worse in 2002 but some of the youngsters like Jay Williams, Curry, Chandler and Crawford started balling down the stretch and they missed out on Wade in 2003. |
