4 fouls in 6 minutes? Is that even legal? |

Bucket, what happened to Victor Hyrapa(sp)? He was talked up after the trade but has done nothing. I have only watched about 15 games from start to finish, so I haven't seen much of him. What's the deal, is he just bad? |

I rather see him get the time than dead man lurching P.J. Brown or Sweet Tooth. |

Quote: Bucket, what happened to Victor Hyrapa(sp)? In hindsight, I think he (Khryapa) may have been an insurance policy for depth in case they traded Deng w/ PJ for a star. Skiles hasn't used him much at all, even with the injury to Nocioni. Quote: I was expecting a lot more NBA talk when I came back and I have been disappointed. Other than the posts I made the first day back this section has been dead. What happened to you Buckets?
I'll deal with you after the game. |

You know as critical as I've been of Skiles for not playing Thomas I'll admit I was wrong. Skiles is giving him what he deserves. He's learning and has no offensive game. Yeah he'll get lob passes and block some shots. But he fouls too much, commits to many turnovers, and slows the offensive flow becasue he doesn't know what he's doing. |

WHAT THE FUCK IS GORDON DOING ON THE BENCH! I understand Skiles likes to send a message, but Jesus Christ! |

Are you familiar with the work of Mr. Brown and Mr. Sweetney? |

They were down 8 with about a minute and a half left when Gordon took the bench. Easily reachable at that point. |

I'm talking about when Noch was healthy and I was bitching. And we would go to a smaller line-up with Noch at the 4 alot. Still, those two guys you mentioned know how to work in an offense. Thomas can do the spectacular but has a hard time with the simple things at this point. |

I just hope Noce can get healthy soon. That was a suckfest tonight. And, I get pissed off every time I see Griff in the game. Daniel Ewing is a rotation player in the NBA? Really? Or is it because of injuries to Livingston and Cassell? |

Quote: WHAT THE FUCK IS GORDON DOING ON THE BENCH! I understand Skiles likes to send a message, but Jesus Christ! I would have benched his ass, too. I don't fault a guy for having a rough shooting night, but Gordon's effort in the 4th quarter was dogshit. He wouldn't have returned to the game at all under my watch, and I consider myself much more lenient than Skiles. Nas, I was posting 5-10 times a day in the Bulls section up until the trade deadline. Then, nothing happened, there was sort of a hangover effect, and the chatter slowed down. Also, I haven't posted much at all in the last month. Just been busy. But I'm always game if you guys want to talk hoops. |

They may know how to do some things, but they are physically incapable of doing them. At least Thomas has the potential to learn. That's why I still would rather see him than Brown or Sweetney. |

Absolutely. The dumb mistakes are irritating, but at least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Brown cleared that tunnel 5 years ago, and Sweetney is just blocking out the light. |

Yeah but right now we're fighting for the 2 seed. No time to teach a kid. Do you want Thomas on the court in critical situations late in the game? No. Beleive me the other two guys aren't great options either. But I trust them not to make mistakes late more then I trust Thomas. They are at least guys that move the ball to Gordon, Kirk or Deng in an offensive set. I don't trust Thomas to do that. He's clueless in a half court set. |

That's a separate issue entirely. I don't have a problem benching Tyrus in the closing minutes of a tight game. I do have a problem with him playing half as many minutes as a washed up PJ Brown. That's inexcusable. Tyrus may be inconsistent, but Brown flat out sucks. His body is shot, and his jumper is not good enough to make up for it. And Sweetney? Please. On a contending team, he'd be in the 20-20 club. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, it's not a compliment. |

The reasons for the Bulls' struggles of late are, in my opinion: #1. Nocioni. They miss him badly, and people tend to forget that. People have the tendency to want to downplay his role in the team, but I really feel he is instrumental in their success; even when he isn't scoring, he's a tenacious defender, causes the other team to foul, and frequently upsets players on the other team. Also, it gives Skiles a hell of a lot more flexability with the rotation, and instant energy when the team is stuck in the mud (and hasn't it ever been frequently of late). #2. Gordon. What the hell is with Gordon's shooting of late? Geez. The guy throws up 48, and I'm talking about how it's good we didn't get rid of the guy, and here he seems determined to make an ass of me. They said sometime late in the game that he was 2 of 9 shooting, I believe. And those were not even tough shots for the most part. Gordon is, for better or for worse, the Bulls' best scorer; with his struggles, the Bulls can't help but struggle on offense. #3. Lack of effort on the offensive end. What the fuck was the story tonight with the team just standing around as Gordon/Heinrich/Duhon dribbled around. Get open, fuckers. Skiles looked to be ready to rip out his remaining hair. As an complement to the major issues I see with the Bulls, I concur with the opinion of those who were pointing out Thomas' fouling problems. He's trying to do to much. I was hoping he'd be ready to pick up more minutes, but it's beginning to become evident that (surprise) Skiles knows his personnel better than I do. It sucks, but his role this year and most of next will be limited. And I'm disappointed with Sefalosha; dude, you have to put the ball on the floor before you pick up your pivot foot. Come on. (In fact, have you ever seen a game where both teams traveled so much? Were the teams drugged before the game or something?) Reasons for hope: #1. Wallace has been putting in some strong performances; he's getting the rebounds and put-backs you want, and he's making his man earn it, for the most part (the difference between him guarding Brand and PJ guarding Brand was staggering). #2. Heinrich's play seems to be picking up. For the large part of the season, I had him pegged as a large part of why the Bulls were underachieving. His play seems to be headed back to where it damn well should be, and that will have to be the case if the Bulls look to continue to progress in the NBA. Those are my thoughts on the state of the Boo. |

tonights game made me think about tyrus vs camby I kinda think this is the type of player tyrus could turn out to be. I hope he develops more offense than marcus, but if he turns out to be as good as camby i think the bulls should be happy. |

I guess you do want Tyrus in their in the last minute of important games. LOL. Serously. That was just a garbage put back. But hey, the kid made it. About time we made a game winner at the last second. |

The Bulls have been horrible with their perimeter defense for most of the year. Hinrich, Gordon and Deng seem to take pride in having brought Greg Blache's trail technique to basketball. |

The Bulls were fortunate to win the game tonight, no doubt. They're just too dependent on jump shooting. |

The Bulls have given up huge quantities of "blow bys" all season. So says Skiles himself. |

I have to agree. I've been noticing this a lot of late; they are constantly unable to stay in front of their man. They're generally decent at handling screens, but for whatever reason are very prone to having their guy just blow right by them. Very irritating. Still, that's a pretty talented Nugget team that was fairly hot coming in; a win is a win is a win. |
