Portis right now is a better player than Porter Jr ever was, but not even to enough of a degree where this even helps us tank. It just adds a $25 million cap hit for a Denzel Valentine quality player for no reason. Yes, it probably isn’t going to kill us long term, it’s just a dumb trade with no logic behind it. Something we should be used to this far along in the GarPax era I guess. |

I love that one of the few things GarPax apologists could cite to defend the front office was not making stupid deals in free agency. Who needs to make such stupid deals when you can trade for one of the dumbest ones handed out in the recent past (while throwing in a draft pick of course because rebuilding teams definitely don't need those). |
