Houston got within a game and CP injury of beating GS. Philly got their asses kicked by a team missing it's best player and who didn't even make the Finals.

These were what passed for non "ridiculous' thoughts not too long ago.

That was two years ago and we are talking about a league that changes drastically every season. Terrible gotcha attempt.

They won 52 games during the first year that their two main guys got going. Going into last season Simmons and Embiid had only participated in 31 games combined. Simmons had never played in an NBA game at that point.

They have a very long ways to go in terms of filling out that roster but yeah I agree, if you draft in the top 3 for 8 straight years you should eventually be good.

Noel is good though. He's good at almost everything except scoring. He's definitely a useful player and probably a starting caliber center, and they gave him away.

I hope you're not serious about pumping up a guy winning rookie of the month. He's shown some promise but he's also a rookie averaging 11 ppg and shooting just 40%.

"A healthy Embiid" is starting to sound like an oxymoron.

If he's healthy Noel will play for another 12+ years in the league and start most of them.

Your franchise superstar has to play in more than 10% of his career games. That's a bit more important than free throw shooting.

Simmons is the key to this whole thing. Embiid is a luxury that probably won't be available most years. Starting this upcoming offseason they need to retool the roster around Simmons. They'll have some flexibility even with Embiid's contract to make some moves.

Do you want me to school you on how well tanking has worked for Philly yet again? You should never want to have that discussion again. The Bulls didn't really tank last year. Watch where Phoenix will be after this year. Have you paid attention to Sac.?
