In the back of my mind I was thinking he'd come in with a fresh approach ala Rocky Wirtz. Looks like he's a puppet of his dad echoing his dad's opinions. He was all thumbs up on GarPax. Some of the examples of GarPax's success were pretty farfetched. Obscure, journeymen player acquisitions being praised. Claiming soft Carlos Boozer was a quality player? More Derrick Rose's injury excuses. Maybe when Jerry passes the real Michael will surface, or maybe he'll be his father's money over wins clone? https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/b ... ft13a-7gp1 |

My favorite part was his praise of the Ben Wallace signing |

My memory is they found out soon that he was shot but not at signing. |

Michael is correct he was probably the top free agent that offseason, but there were plenty of fit concerns right from the start and people unhappy about that being the big move. And just glossing over the actual results of the trade to not just justify it but actually praise the front office for it is exactly the kind of thing bad teams do. Lots of people had Darko rated highly as a prospect too, but I don't think anyone attempting to defend Joe Dumars' tenure in Detroit would be voluntarily bringing up that pick. |

Quote: e’ll never know what that team could’ve accomplished. But as Pat Riley said when LeBron James left the Heat, he saw a championship window close. Well, when Derrick blew out his knee, we had a window that closed on us. Is this guy fucking serious? |

Is the family ever considering selling the Bulls & Sox to a more win demanding buyer? |

Kap said when the Chairman passes away, the Sox will be sold but the Bulls will never be sold. |

pittmike wrote: ZephMarshack wrote: My favorite part was his praise of the Ben Wallace signing Didn't most think it was good on the day he signed? I was never a fan of the move. They had a promising young team with little offensive weaponry outside of Ben Gordon, and they added a guy who was black hole on the offensive end and had to overpay for him to even come here. |

Looking over the 2006 NBA free agents. Man, that's a ton of bad. I'm not even sure who the Bulls could have targeted that year over Ben Wallace. http://www.nba.com/transactions/movement2006_name.html |

What would have helped would have been having the #2 overall pick the year later but no doubt they would have wound up with Oden. |

No surprise hard hitting journalist KC Johnson got the interview. Cowley must have been busy. |
