17/18 and 6 per game. Meaningfully contributing to games. Is getting all star votes again. He's not franchise anymore but it seems to be quite a comeback. Reading that he's a contender for 6th man of the year as well.

I've seen him a couple times this year. Certainly nothing special.

I watched the entire game last night. Holy shit are the Lakers tall. Their rim protection is absurd.

Every time Derrick entered the game, the Pistons went on a big run. He’s a big spark, especially without Blake Griffin. And he’s definitely got heart. He’s the only reason the rest of the Pistons were engaged and interested in the 4th. Leads by example.

He’s sort of back. He tries harder to get buckets that once required much less effort. He’s a darn good PG that a lot of contenders would love to have for the playoffs. He’d be such a great fit with the Lakers.

He'll probably be in a wheelchair today.

Somebody has to put up stats on bad teams. Every team gets 100 a game at least. He's just part of that percentage. He's just a decent player on a bad team. That's it.

The correct thread is here:

We only start threads for ex-players in the CUBS section.

Stupid Bulls. He wanted to come here this offseason. For cheap. "But we need to develop these 15 players."

Not signing DRose would be about #113 on the list of most stupid Bulls things.

It was a low hanging fruit. An easy win for the organization. You'd improve the team greatly, considering PG was a huge weak link going into the season. And if the team was still out of the playoff picture, like the Pistons, you could consider moving him and getting a first rounder or a young building block like Kuzma.

Well they did believe that Satoransky was somehow an upgrade "at the position". That was pretty dumb. Sato is also on the hook for 10 mil per year for 3 years. Also dumb.

Satoransky is fine. He's the least of their problems.

No one is giving you Kuzma for Rose.

He isn't a starting caliber point guard. Should be a backup. That is a problem.

good thing he's being paid much less than a starting PG.

And too much for a backup. That's bad.

He's fine. complain about jabari/otto instead. that was like a $75MM disaster.

Sato is a bum and happens to play the position which is the most important position in the league right now. You can't have a 2nd string caliber guard manning that particular position. Jabari wasn't the problem and he is a better basketball player than Sato.

Even if he isn't the "biggest" problem he is still a problem.

i think it would be pretty funny if Rose won Most Improved Player, having previously won an MVP

Sato is literally zero problem. The cap is $110MM. what has Sato prevented them from doing?

He is the starting point guard and he isn't very good. I'm sure that Dunn is cheaper yet MANY around here still viewed him as a problem anyway.

Lavine is much more productive and a helluva bargain at 20 mil a year and people still consider him to be a huge problem around here.

Sato is woefully overpaid and miscast as a starting point guard. That is a problem.

Dunn should just stay on one side of the court he's so horrible on offense.
