Bulls vas hated Nets, on Comcast Sportsnet now!

They just finished Game 1 (OT victory), now starting game 2.

remember Michael's vendetta against Calipari?

Nets were tough. no stars but played hard.

this is from MICHAEL's perspective. Not yours.

MJ HATED the nets. They were always tough on him but he would somehow always win.

And he hated calipari. This is about understanding the history of it all and being immersed in all the context.

But yeah, didnt know Kendall Gill was on the Nets. Never eally knew who he played for

Game 3 on NOW!

NBC Sports Channel.

I believe this is the game where Pip hit a game winning layup at the buzzer and the Bulls barely escaped.

Although right now they have a big-ass lead.

i guess I musta been thinkin' about a regular season game where Pip scored the winning layup on an inbounds play against the Nets.

This game was a laugher.

Scott Burrell with 23 points.

Dennis with a late meaningless 3.

Great to hear Dore and Red on the call and to see the Fox Sports Net broadcast.

For some reason, didnt think Fox Sports Net existed at that time. Thought it came later.

interesting they now have a half hour postgame show, just for this game, where 2 guys (Will Perdue and Jason Goff) are interviewing Kendall Gill from his house and his recollections of the game.

It's like going back in time and reliving it all again. I've basically forgotten the last 20 years of the NBA even existed. It's wonderful.

The one thing that always astounded me about Isaiah Thomas is that for being one of the bad boys, he is SUPER sharp and articulate.

VERY smart guy. I love his analysis. And he always complimented MJ, said good things about him that is. He never slighted him and you would think maybe he would considering their history.

In Game 2 vs. Nets he said 2 things that stuck in my mind:

1. To go deep into the playoffs you need to have big men, and the Bulls would struggle as they advanced due to having only one true healthy big man (Wennington). (Amazing how the opposite is true these days although I still think that having good big men helps you win if you consider the Warriors as an aberration). Turns out the Bulls won the title that year, although Luc came back from injury to help.

2. Rodman is really a beefed up small forward. As a small forward he is good, but when he plays power forward and center he can struggle against bigger guys (he was referring to Seikaly at that time). A little surprised he'd say this about his former teammate, but Dennis seemed to hold his own against anyone no matter the position. But it still was an interesting perspective to see Dennis from that perspective.
