What exactly was it? Great GM? Good GM? Bad GM? Overrated GM? |

Insecure guy who couldn't handle success. That history will/has crush(ed) him this hard isn't that equitable though. |

Good GM but always wanted to be the greatest scout. |

Good GM. Got pretty lucky at times but you make your own luck. He held grudges. He had tremendous jowels. He once ate a whole side of beef. |

Hearing that Tim Floyd and Uncle Jerry had to convince him not to replace Phil during the 1996 NBA Finals is hilarious. |

Good GM who let his insecurities overcome him. His drafts were pretty bad outside of 87. |

Got him in the vastly overrated camp. Bulls won with him but not necessarily because of him. Post Jordan era was horrendous and extremely reflective of his talents as a GM |

Nas wrote: Good GM but always wanted to be the greatest scout. Yeah. He was like the modern fantasy player. He always wanted to find the guy no one else knew about. The problem with that is that 99 out of 100 times the reason no one knows about a guy is because he sucks. |

He was right about McGrady, but that would have ended the dynasty. |

He was terrible at basketball scouting. Regarded as a very good baseball scout though |

He was an asshole who could’ve been a lot more successful if he was half as smart as he thought he was. |

Who knows how successful he would’ve been if he didn’t blow that up. |

He wasn't even the guy that "discovered" Pippen either. |

Jordan wasn't goat when Krause came on board. The few really good moves you mean are two different teams that won three rings each. |
