I don't like this move at all. He seems like one of these guys that lasts about 4 years in the NBA and then ends up playing in Europe for the rest of his career. |

Yea, do you think he picked him because Pax just can't look away from college basketball glory (Duke, Kansas players drafted before)? |

I'm with you Nas. If Noah ever starts on this team I'll be blown away that you and I are wrong or the Bulls just got really bad again |

The first thing we learned in organized hoops was how to shoot the ball. He can't. Hawes has as great as an upside as Noah has a downside. |

unless he is traded, this is a horrible ending to the Eddy Curry trade. |

Not a big fan of this pick either. Doesn't solve their inside scoring problem. Hopefully Pax will be trading somewhere down the road. Nice trade for the Knicks |

This feels like drafting a Tyson Chandler all over again. He'll be much more valuable on the defensive end than offensive end. He'll hustle and fit the Skiles mode, but will not be much more than a 2nd unit player. Pax made this pick for two reasons IMHO: 1. Pedigree - National Champ x2 2. Age/Experience - He's 2 years older than Hawes and played 2 full seasons more of games. |

My only comment is that Pax chose him because he had the experience - that he didnt want another guy out of his first year of college (a la Tyrus Thomas) |

Unless Chicago makes a move, which I don't see happening, this pick is terrible. He is a role player that fills a role that we don't need. He had a good NCAA tournament 2 years ago. He was the 4th best player on Florida last year. I don't see how this pick makes the Bulls any better. With that said, he will work hard and make an impact on many games. He won't make the Bulls any better though. I can't believe anyone would want Steve Francis though, so at least Paxson didn't pick him up. |

How? Noah can't play the 5, he would get instantly ass raped! |

haha, you hate Ben. Nas, I never read your thoughts on Kobe coming here. Why do you like the move? Don't you think it's possible it could ruin the team? I'm warming up to it a bit more if we could keep Deng in the deal. The East wouldn't be able to handle Kobe. |

Joakim Noah has the fire and the passion(it's too bad he has no offense or weight). It is a bad sign that it actually seems the knicks are having a better draft than us. |

Is there anyway Noah was picked for Denver as part of a deal for Camby? That possibility is about the only thing keeping me from slashing my wrists right now. And Bucket, you'd better not protest that he had a shoulder injury last year because I didn't like his game two years ago, either. Don't make me hurt you.... For the record, here is an incomplete list of players I would rather have on the Bulls than Noah: 1)Durant 2)Oden 3)Yi 4)Brewer 5)Conley 6)Wright 7)Green Hawes 9)Horford 10)Tiago Splitter 11)J. Smith 12)D. Cook 13)Dickey Simpkins 14)Marcus Fizer 15)Mitchell Wiggins 16)Billy Boyce, one of my b-ball teammates from junior high school 17)Sal, my pet rock 18)A mannequin 19)Fritzy, etc |

Keep in mind that I'm basketball retarded, and so none of what I say should be taken completely seriously, but it is possible that Noah was downgraded because so many people were looking for the faults this year, after coming on the scene last year? I know that happens quite a bit in football, often irrationally. |

Irish Boy, He was considered a good college player before March Madness 2 years ago. He had a great tournament and deserved the accolades. He regressed somewhat this year, and it became clear that he did have major flaws in his game offensively. He ended up being at best, the 3rd best player on Florida, and probably the 4th best. He's going to be a good player in the league for a while. The problem is that his ceiling is very low for a top 10 draft pick. |

I'm with you guys I don't understand this pick. But I think that Paxson knows a little bit more about basketball talent than anyone of us. So I trust in his judgment. He's done alright so far, hasn't he? I just don't like the players showboating. Pax has to have other moves he's going to do. Everyone is so quick to react. One thing I didn't understand is why he picked the SG with the third pick who has been in trouble with the law. Thought he didn't want "those" kind of players. Rather have seen Green from Fla. picked |

I've heard people say Noah is the same as Chandler on offense. I don't think so. Chandler sucks offensivly. Noah will never average more then 12 points. But I think he has better hands. And I think he can learn a low post move. I thought he showed better on the block in college then Chandler has ever shown (I know its college and NBA is way different). I mean, Chandler can only score on lobs and garbage put backs. I think Noah can be a little better then that. Noah seems more coordinated then Chandler. |

Quote: Bucket? smoke break Quote: Bucket how could you possibly like the pick of Noah? With Wallace there what can he possibly do that will make them better?
At the risk of being burned again, I believe Pax will make another move this offseason. After going through the scouting process, he must not have believed that he could find his low post scorer in the draft. Noah & Hawes worked out against each other, and apparently Joakim won the battle (no confirmed reports on whether or not he was wearing a bow tie). They even brought in Hawes a second time, either to give him a mulligan or just throw off the scent for surrounding teams 7-11. He obviously didn't outplay Noah, or they were simply afraid that a C taken in the lottery that doesn't rebound at the college level, could spell B-U-S-T. With the way Pax has been talking, sounds like he wants to move Noce & Duhon + future picks, cash, etc for a veteran big. IF he can make that happen (the Randolph trade bodes well for us in setting the market; thought the Allen trade was even-steven), then you could be looking at a rotation of: PG - Kirk SG - Gordon SF - Luol PF - trade (see above) C - Wallace G - Thabo F - Tyrus FC - Noah |
