Heard this on the pre-game show on ESPN 1000. The usual rumors about the Grizzlies and Bulls working on possible trade scenarios for Pao Gasol. Will Paxson finally pull the trigger and make a bold move for a low-post scorer? Or is this just more false hope? |

If the Memphis guy wants Deng he can go fuck himself. They dont want Kirk cause they already have enough PGs. I would give em Tyrus straight up, or Ben Gordon probably, although then we would have no natural 2, unless we want to play Kirk, Luol, Noc, Pay, Ben as a starting lineup. |

It's interesting that this talk is resurfacing as Nocioni's eligibility for being traded is about to reopen. If the Grizzlies are willing to take Thomas and Nocioni for Gasol, I would definitely make the deal. If they want Deng and Nocioni, I'd pass. |

What's the date they can trade Nocioni? He's looked out of sync all year since signing the big deal. |

That was probably just in response to Sam Smith's speculation report on Monday's where he has the Bulls trading for a new player each week. |

I read that article as well, but I hope the mention required more sources than Sam Smith's weekly "Who the Bulls should trade for now." |

Sam's columns seem to get a lot of interest all over. I have not ready any other stories besides reporters asking Gasol if he wants to be traded (he said he wants to stay). |

If I were Memphis, I wouldn't really be interested in any of the Bulls players right now--except for Deng. And it really wouldn't make any sense for the Bulls to include him in a deal for Gasol, would it? |

Unless they are looking for a salary dump or role players, I agree. Gasol isn't a superstar though so it's possible that Memphis could look to find players that fit their uptempo system a bit better. |

Gasol isn't a superstar though so it's possible that Memphis could look to find players that fit their uptempo system a bit better. But if you are the Bulls you have to match up salaries. Also if you are Memphis and thinking about Deng, you have to be ready to pony up the dough to keep him long term (which is probably Gasol's salary). You would have to come up Deng, Nocioni (when you can move him) at least to make it work from a money perspective. You could probably try Krhyapa (expiring contract small) and Thomas with Nocioni but who would take that deal? |

Noc can be traded as of Dec. 15 (this Sat). Any chance he might still be included in a deal such as this? |

That would be very Paxson-like. Trade away the most consistent so far guy and keep your boy Kirk. |

Yeah, because every superstar point guard looks like shit before he becomes a superstar. The sad thing is, I think Paxson really is banking on Hinrich being a star and doesn't want him to go elsewhere and blossom. Newsflash for Paxson: Kirk Hinrich is bad. |

I am glad to see Hinrich finally getting the criticism he deserves around here. He's not a legitimate starter, and his skills are ideally suited for neither guard position. Now, let's get to work on the Luol Deng Reality Tour. This guy has been long overrated by CSFMBers. Let's face it, not only will deng never be an elite player overall (top 15 or 20 in the league), he will never even be an elite small forward. At best, he likely maxes out as a third option on a championship team. Since Deng is and will be the Bulls best player for the foreseeable future, it means that the team is screwed for the long-term. |

Tall Midget, I agree with you on Hinrich, but disagree with you on Deng. Y1...61 games...27.3 min/game...11.7 pts/game...43.4% FG% Y2...78 games...33.4 min/game...14.3 pts/game...46.3% FG% Y3...82 games...37.5 min/game...18.8 pts/game...51.7% FG% Y4...17 games...35.1 min/game...17.5 pts/game...46.3% FG% Keep in mind his is only 22 year old, if he stays at Duke this would have been his 1st year in the NBA...When his body finally matures at around 25 he will be a force...I find it hard to believe that their is still not room for improvement in his game. I easily see him as a top 10 player in the NBA in the next 3-5 years.. Hopefully he will still be a bull. Please tell me what you don't like about his game? |
