I HAVE BEEN SAYING IT SINCE DAY 1- STEAL!

Sure the kid looks awkward at time, but he is an offensive 7 footer!

Not only is he puttin up numbers in Ben's absence, they are throwing into the middle, allowing some ouside shooting without everyone in their faces!

3rd Quarter Bulls 77-73

But they need to keep Gray in, he opens it up for everyone, Thomas, Gordon. Etc.

Ben can come back and start at PF.

Bye the way Stacy said you can't guard him, but it's my bandwagon!

He's a big white dope. Yeah, he'll have some nights like tonight but more often than not he'll play like a big white dope. He's Will Purdue only slower.

Don't get too excited. A lot of times teams will go small against him in games and guys will blow right past him.

The Bulls are better with Gray in. He may not be great at what he does, but what he does is something the Bulls generally lack.

My Guy Aaron Gray is a different player than most big guys.
Usually, they always say a big guy is a "Project", which he means he is athletic, decent shot blocker and decent defensive player but has no offensive skills.

Gray has moves under the hoop! He has a hook, fade, spin, passes, etc. His presence alone with create shots for everyone else. His value is underated and has been my biggest problem with Paxson and Skiles ignoring the value of a big man, because they both played the midget position i the NBA and they can't stand guy that is not like them.

Grays weakness is defense. He gets poor position and really can't stop guys when posted up.

The ability for him to get the ball in the post and let a forward or guard drop down to help on him, opens shots for Kirk, Nocioni, Ben , Luol, etc

Which is why he needs a good weak side shot blocker in there with him like Tyrus. Otherwise he'll just get picked apart.

This goes to show how poor of a job Paxson has done getting a scoring presence down low that Aaron Gray can have an impact even with his list of shortcomings. Even though he is injured, I think that the Spencer Hawes pick would have been the right move since he could fill this role. Noah isn't contributing much this year unless Ben Wallace gets injured.

You should change to title of this thread to "Wizzards can't guard Aaron Gray"...

Something tells me that Boston will make him look foolish.

I'm starting to like Noah. What still and probably always will bother me is that Paxson bet on a guy (Tyrus) that had 1 great half of college basketball and didn't draft a guy that didn't have a low floor (Roy). If the Bulls would have drafted Roy (Like I thought they should) they would have been able to trade for a big man or Kobe without hurting their team. Right now Noah looks like he will be a better player than Tyrus.

The thing about Roy is he has a history of knee problems. I know he looks great now, but at the time there were serious red flags. It's hard to fault Pax for not picking him, because 6 other GMs passed on him too. Plus, they were already pretty set at guard (at the time they had Hinrich, Gordon and Duhon and the #16 pick to take a guard) so they needed to go big. They probably would be getting more from Aldridge.

I'm on the bandwagon. He should get minutes over Ben at this point.

Nas,

I agree, T. Chandler would be a better option right now than Ben Wallace.

However, with Tyson, are we winning the east? Probably not and once again, chandler locks you in for 3 more years after this one.

Jermain ONeal?
Theo Ratliff & __________

So while I hate what ben Wallace has done, the structure of the deal was not terrible, paying him the money in year 1 and 2.

Then again, The pistons sent Chris Weber home with his $18 million and just said he is not good enough.

I heard Bernstein say that Gray sucks.

I heard Hubie Brown say this kid can play some.

I'll go with Hubie Brown. Bernstein seems to believe that if you think Gray can play, you're calling him a star. I don't see star, but he seems to be the one guy who can score down low - play him until he's not getting the job done, the other's aren't doing anything.

Let me just say that I have hooped once with the GREAT Bernstein and I know he offers himself up like some great basketball insider, but talent wise he is a bench player on a bad 5th grade team at best. If you can't make the Deerfield HS team, you might not be so good.

I know he understands the game, and all the nice terms ued by NBAers to desciribe every variation of the pick and roll, or "rubs", but my man Dan is VERY wrong on Aaron Gray and I have heard him knock him since Gray started a preseaosn game.

Aaron Gray is the only hope this team has and Skiles needs to run better plays for him as the center peice. If that means he is shooting, kicking it out o passing it, he is the only player on the Chicago Bulls that other team converge on to guard!

Sure, his Defensive skills need work and his rebounding is actually improving, but this team needs this kid to start!
