Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng will be "shut down" for "a significant period of time" because of his sore left Achilles tendon, interim coach Jim Boylan said Wednesday, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Deng, the team's second-leading scorer, missed three games with the same injury earlier this month and sat out the Bulls' victory over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday when it flared up again.
Boylan wouldn't guess as to the length of Deng's absence, but said it will be weeks, not days, according to the Tribune.
