I don't believe that. I don't believe they got a scoop like that so quickly. ESPN 1000 said some Ft. Lauderdale paper got this info.

Paxon just got the pick. He wants to interview these guys. No way the paper got this from Pax or any Bulls people.

This is just that paper lieing cuz it means they have the scoop on the Miami Heat pick. They pick after the Bulls. They are just trying to scoop the other papers in South Florida.

Im pretty sure Pax is still undecided about who he will take.

I'm sure there are teams still out there preparing a package deal for that draft pick that haven't even contacted the Bulls yet.

This seems to be going on a lot lately. They have a 50% chance of being right on this. If they're wrong, they'll just say they received bad info. I'm pretty sure the writer just made this up...

the pick will be traded for Elton Brand and a Hummer for Paxson. Oh, yes, and a Sentra so he has something to drive.

So here's an interesting thought.....does anyone think maybe the Heat will try and move up and you can get a deal out of them?

I can't imagine that's the case, especially this soon.

Im not sure what assets you would get. Haslem is a nice player, but he's just another gooden. Im guessing they would want Beasley, and I think they'll take their chances on us taking Rose.

I would take Gooden over Haslem in a heartbeat. I think Gooden has West talent and maybe a Rose can bring it out of him consistently.

Come on Nas, West is 10x the player Gooden is. Better scorer from basically anywhere on the floor, much better defender, better rebounder. Hell he's even a much better passer. I have not seen anything from Gooden that makes me think he's close to that level.

I agree Gooden is better than Haslem, but I dont think the gap is nearly that big.

They have the same game except Gooden is bang your head against the wall inconsistent. You will see a couple 20 and 20 or 30 and 15 games and think he has turned the corner. Then he will go like a week averaging 10 and 5. He seemed to be motivated by being apart of the offense and having a guy like Rose will make everyone apart of the offense.

They have the same game except West is better at every facet. It's really no comparison. Gooden has never even showed the potential to be as good as West. Gooden would get absolutely eaten alive in a 7 game series against Tim Duncan. West more than held his own.

West didn't have that game either until Paul got there. They were ready to give up on him and then the light came on. Neither one is a guy that will average 12 rebounds for the season. Both will be around 9 or 10. Gooden averaged 15 and 11 with the Bulls and I could see him improving on those numbers. He is only 26.

Paul clearly helped develop West's game, but they were never about to give up on him. He had a rough first couple seasons.

As for Gooden, he averaged 14 and 9.3 for the Bulls, not 15 and 11.

Also their approach to the game is more important than their skills. Gooden's been inconsistent his whole career for a reason. He doesnt give a shit, he's there to cash a paycheck. He's a player out of the Eddy Curry/Carmelo mold. West is the complete opposite. He gives 1000% every game. He's one of the hardest working, biggest hustle guys in the league. A great PG isnt gonna change that in Gooden 7 years into his career.

Be careful, FF, you're in the danger zone...your arguments for CP3 could be hurt if you're now saying that he didn't help improve West's game at all

No I said he clearly helped West out. I just think its not giving West enough credit to call him a Drew Gooden thats playing with a great PG. I think thats a pretty big insult to him. West has pretty much become one of my favorite players in the league.

As for my CP3 argument, I think its clear I was right, although I respect Nas's "You need to do it for more than 1 year" thing.

Next argument... CP3 the best PG of all time!

I was guessing. I wasn't that far off either. Gooden started to turn the corner until the Cavs asked him to do something different. Yes Gooden has been called lazy and I think apart is he didn't like his role. That change when he came to the Bulls. Being apart of the offense seemed to energize him on both ends of the court. They both had the same amount of 10+ rebounds games even though Gooden missed the last month of the season. I would think having a guy like Paul would make it easier for you to score. At $7M a year I think Gooden is a keeper.

Tough for me to respect anyone who bitched about playing with someone who will go down as one of the all time greats. I hate players like Gooden.

I'll still hold the same opinion until I find something new next season.

I do find it funny that just 4 or 5 months ago when I mentioned it, someone said " Did Steve Nash and Jason Kidd retire?"

That sentence is getting funnier by the day.

If Paxson doesn't take Rose, i'll be done watching the Bulls, this is the easiest decision he has had in years.

I take the Florida newspaper article about Michael Beasley coming here with a grain of salt. It's very premature any accuracy of that story and we shouldn't jump to any conclusions regarding such a story less than 48 hours after the Bulls won the NBA Draft Lottery. Let's also not forget that the Bulls are still looking for a head coach. As much as I would like Owner Jerry Reinsdorf & GM John Paxson stop stalling and get someone in place already, there's a good chance the Bulls will select either Beasley or Derrick Rose before the team officially gathers the press together and FINALLY names a new head coach.

Thats a little over the top, dontcha think?

I want the Bulls to take Rose too, but Beasly would not be that bad of a pick either. I think they are both going to be really good players for a long time

Seriously, can ANYONE say that they'd be 'extremely disappointed' if they got one or the other?

My clear favorite is Derrick Rose, but, I wouldn't be upset to get Michael Beasley. For god's sake...we were looking at the 9th pick, just taking some lottery pick, now, we get our shot at 1 of the 2 best players coming out of this draft, and quite honestly, I'd be happy with either. I still prefer Rose though.

This is my feeling as well.
