Several reports have the Bulls and Del Negro in lengthy meetings this past Thursday and Friday, with Del Negro emerging as the front-runner for the coaching position. Vinnie Del Negro? Maybe they know something we don't know. But until I find out, the organization hasn't exactly earned the benefit of the doubt lately. |

Great. A black/Italian coach. I don't want that. |

I read that late last night watching "SportsCenter". ESPN.com's Marc Stein, who was all over the Mike D'Antoni story & was one of those online reporters who thought the Bulls had a deal with Doug Collins before he backed out yesterday afternoon. It was on the ESPN "BottomLine" ticker at the bottom of the screen that Stein reported that "Vinny Del Negro was the rumored front runner", hours after Collins withdrew. Where have I read that before? Another thing that really bothered me was watching Jerry Reinsdorf's reaction before his White Sox beat the Twins last night at U.S. Cellular Field. It seemed like he had a real smirk on his face, and I don't think there's anything funny about what has happened. With the NBA Draft about 2 weeks away, I get this feeling that it'll come and go with the team drafting #1 and naming its coach shortly thereafter. I know Kevin Durant got drafted #2 overall and the Sonics then hired P.J. Carlesimo afterwards a year ago. To me, that seems backwards. |

Well Skiles kinda came out of nowhere. I mean he was a HC before, but it was a surprise hire. Maybe this one works out for awhile too. |

Maybe this one works out for awhile too. Chicago shouldn't be a place where a coach gets his first coaching job. Skiles did a good job in Phoenix before he came here. Del Negro made a couple shots with the Spurs and he is getting a job. It's nothing more than a money move. Even Cartwright had been an assistant when the Bulls were rebuilding. Paxson should show up at the press conference in a skirt. He has absolutely no control of anything. He is nothing more than a puppet. Yeah.... I still hope he works out if thats the move though. Im disappointed that we've waited this long and wont wait two more weeks to take a look at Thibodeau, the guy I've been wanting since the vacancy opened. I lost faith in Jerry as an owner of the Bulls back in the late 90's or whenever it was when he said he would trade all 6 NBA titles for one Sox title. Pretty much shows where his priorities are. |

The way things are going he might have to pull out the ole #5 jersey and the nuthuggers and play next year since the group of chumps he has are going to win about 15 games. |

Either did Greg Popovich. Either did Phil Jackson. They combined to win 10 NBA titles in their first stints as HC. Either did every Head Coach that has ever gone on to a HOF career at one point. I dont like the hire, but since this is the case at least we dont KNOW he'll be shitty, we just think he will be. We KNOW Dwayne Casey and Avery Johnson would have been terrible. |

Phil did have coaching experience, he just didn't have NBA head coaching experience. |

Oh. I misread it. Yeah Pops and Phil were both considered good assistants before becoming coaches. Nevermind. |

Exactly how I feel about it. We have no choice now but to give the guy a shot and maybe he will surprise us. |
