I may be a little late to the party but I did not see a topoic with predictions on the Bulls record this year. I predict 40 & 42. I think the team is improved, but not enough. Noah, Ben, Kirk, & Hughes need to go. Does Hughes have an expiring contract, or are we stuck with him? ***Guesses so far*** Krazy Ivan 51-31 rogers park bryan 49-33 spmack 41-41 RFDC 41-41 Evergreen Tommy 40-42 Nas 39-43 shark 38-44 schmitty1121 36-46 MattInTheCrown 36-46 Glendale Heights Brian 35-47 Hawkeye Vince 34-48 The Original Kid Cairo 31-51 Marv Albert 20-62 Phil McCracken 19-63 |

ESPN.com's John Hollinger has the Bulls winning 39 and losing 43. He has the Miami Heat with the same record, but both out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference tied for 9th. Believe it or not, he's got the Charlotte Bobcats with Larry Brown making the playoffs as the #8 seed. Are you kidding? I know the Eastern Conference is terrible, but the bottom of the bracket is up for grabs. I'll be more than satisfied with the Bulls winning about 38 games and somehow sneaking in as the #7 or #8 seed in Vinny Del Negro's first season. Anything higher than that is wishful thinking in my opinion...I also won't be shocked if the Bulls miss the playoffs completely as well. It's just a guess on my part, but I'll go 38-44 in Vinny's first season, and Derrick Rose to win NBA Rookie of the Year. |

Evergreen Tommy wrote: Does Hughes have an expiring contract, or are we stuck with him? Larry Hughes isn't going anywhere this year. However, his contract will become very valuable as an expiring deal. I may be wrong, but I think his contract is up the year before the Lebron/Wade/Melo/Bosh free agent extravaganza begins. Bad teams will be looking to unload anyone they can for a chance at those guys. |

The Bulls need to make a move, even if it means eating some bad contract money to do it. Besides, there's a certain point guard who the Bulls drafted #1 and wears #1 that I want to see play from the getgo, Derrick Rose! |

Or where you referring to getting rid of Hinrich and/or Gordon? |

Rose is a point guard and his playing time won't be affected by Hughes. The Bulls can't eat a bad contract. They need to get rid of them and if they have to wait out Larry Hughes so be it. You want to have tons of cash available to throw at players like Bosh and Wade. |

35 wins,,they just dont have any down-low scoring,,if your counting on T-Thomas,Gooden,Gray.Noah to score points in the paint your done,,every good team in the EAST has a player or two who can score down low,and those team give the Bulls problems,Gooden might give you 18 and 10 but its a SOFT 18/10. |

Matt, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Bulls have a lot of salary cap space many years ago when Jerry Krause was still calling the shots & guys like Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady, Tim Thomas & Eddie Jones used the Bulls as leverage to sign elsewhere? |

The East is a mess. This team will win some they shouldn't and lose a bunch they shouldn't. I'm thinking 34-48 |

im thinking/hoping the bulls are this years version of "Wow with that pg they drafted it totally transformed the team and showed all the talent that was already there" like chris paul deron williams etc. 49-33 4th seed |

I see 40-42 and cross my fingers for the 8th slot. I also predict that Boston will not have anywhere near the record they did last year. Age, Injuries and urgency will bring them back to earth. Philly scares me though. |
