TNT's David Aldridge is reporting that the Kings have agreed to send center Brad Miller and swingman John Salmons to the Bulls in exchange for forwards Drew Gooden and Andres Nocioni. This will be Miller's second stint with the Bulls and he should start at center. Salmons will likely come off the bench in Chicago, Nocioni should come off the bench in Sacramento, while Gooden could start at power forward, or come off the bench behind Jason Thompson. Spencer Hawes now looks like the starting center for the Kings, as soon as this deal is finalized. Feb. 18 - 4:38 pm et |

I'm Basketball stupid, but just looking at the stats of each, the Bulls seem to have made out on this one. |

Still can deal Tyrus a first rounder and Hughes for Stodamire or Bosh, thrown in 2 first picks. |

ESPN.com says that Cedric Simmons was included in the deal as well. And that Michael Ruffin was told he was being traded to Portland in another deal to be finalized tonight |

why is larry hughes still on the team?? please tell me miller no longer has those corn rows i saw him sporting in some clip on tv earlier today. I actually liked him when he was here back in the day and always wondered why they showed him the door. |

This isnt really significant unless another move is coming. Instamt analysis tells me its a good trade, but not great. Pax still is afraid of the big names. Salmons is a good player. I dont think Miller has much left. None of the players that left Im upset about leaving. |

WWN: The key difference between Hughes and Thomas/Erob is talent. They are all screwed in the head. Hughes wants to be 'the man' and will have the occasional 20 point games and hit game winning shots. He needs to goto a bad team and just let him shoot shoot shoot. |

If Brad Miller & John Salmons are the answers, what are the questions? This appears to be nothing more than a salary cap dump...As for those David Lee trade rumors, forget it. The Knicks aren't about to trade David, according to a Newsday blog. |

Odd and pointless trade-- Unless they package the pieces to get Bosh or Amare. I doubt it--Pax is a wounded and confused lame duck. I wonder which team wins the salary dump-off contest. |

There's supposedly another deal or two in the works, but Intangible, it's nothing more than garbage for garbage and a salary cap move in this seller's market. When I heard who might come here for Kirk Hinrich if the Bulls' rumored deal with the Timberwolves becomes a reality, I've got to wonder if GM John Paxson needs to be fitted for one of those straitjackets that Robert Murphy made famous in those classic Q101 commercials in the '80s. Brian Cardinal? Rashad McCants? Who plays for the Wolves besides the injured Al Jefferson? If getting Brad Miller & John Salmons from the Kings are the answers, what are the questions?

Not bad players, but I wonder, if they stay, how much of a mid-season (no time for chemistry) jolt will they give in the Bulls possible one round playoff run? Don't need a many more chumps from that Timberwolve list. How about Captain Kirk for Al Jefferson.......C'mon , Cmon, Kev McHale........go fo it ! |
