Not quite Wade, because I just can't see Rose at this point in time, scoring like that. It's like he doesn't know when to take over a game and become selfish but in due time it'll happen.

I have to agree with other guys in this forum, and say Derrick Rose's game reminds me of Kevin Johnson, who had a long NBA career in Phoenix before making the transition to politics. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought he ran for Mayor of Sacramento and won...

One other thing about Rose that I noticed early on...#1 was a workhorse when he first entered the NBA, and seemed to be averaging about 40 minutes a game. It seemed unusually high, even for a rookie...

KJ is a good comparison. Rose is bigger, but they are both ultra quick and have suspect jumpers. I'd also throw Gary Payton into the conversation, but Rose has to get much better on D to be close to the glove. Maybe Timmy Hardaway also.

If he could have a KJ like career that would be pretty good, 18 ppg and 9 apg - maybe not the second coming, but damn good.
