I smell a Bulls win. Brad Miller will use his half-inch vertical leap to dominate Dwight Howard in the post. Bulls by 7.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Rose has yet to have a 30+ point game, right? I'm shocked it's taken him this long.

He's gonna get it tonight. He's got 22 after 3 quarters. He's shootin' tonight. 11 for 22. Good. I want to see him look for his shot more.

I think you're right on the money, Beardown. I believe O.J. Mayo has done better offensively for another bad Memphis Grizzlies' team, but Derrick has been everything that he was advertised when the Bulls selected him #1.

No. Derrick has done fine offensivly. He just doesn't shoot enough. Hell, he's shooting 46% I think. That's amazing for a point guard. Especially a rookie.

Well, Vinny has sat Rose for over half of the 4th quarter. So maybe he won't get 30. Can't bitch too much. We've extended the lead.

Something might be up with Rose and Vinny. He's sitting more during the 4th quarter. I have no idea why.

Rose didn't play well on screen roll defense today. He goes underneath too much instead of trying to fight and go over the screen. Then there is seperation and we got killed by it.

This actually worked out fine. Give Vinny credit. We have 4 games in 5 nights. Rose got to sit the entire 4th. We didn't need him. We destroyed them in the 4th. Now we're just coasting to a victory.

Now Vinny puts in Rose to close out the last 2 minutes of garbage time.

Yeah I agree with you there Beardown. Rose has his stats, let him get rest for the next game.

I just want to see him get a 30 point game. I know he can have a 40 point game if he wants it. That's not really important. I just want to see it.

He doesn't care about that. That is a good quality about him. Pretty rare too.

Tim Thomas 4-6 from behind the 3 point line? :o

Fool can shoot. Watching last night, I'm starting to see why Pax made the moves he did. Aside from getting some experienced guys in there to show the young guys how its done, this team also seems to have considerably more depth and is able to give more looks than before. The payroll is more for next year, but the cap situation is a wash.

I'd be still more encouraged with the Bulls play of late, had it not been for that inexplicable loss at Indy.

I don't have as much of a problem that Rose sat in the 4th tonight, but the Kirk Hinrich crush that VD has needs to stop. I could give a shit if the Bulls sneak in or challenge for a playoff spot. This season should be all about developing Derrick Rose. If VD refuses to play him during crunch time, Pax needs to shit-can him. I think he's a lousy coach as it is, now he is refusing to play our best player when the game is on the line in favor of Hinrich? WTF, Hinrich has had his chances already.

Funny to see VD. As college students in the 70's, we thought of VD as something you could get after a little too much Woodstock action.

I would rather see Derrick Rose get a triple-double than put up 30-40 one night and the Bulls lose the game, Beardown. Rose has been consistent for the most part, and has played steady basketball in his rookie season. Games like the clunker in Portland back in November & the game Sunday in which #1 only had 3 points in that giveaway at Indiana have been few & far between...If there's anything I'd keep an eye on, it's his minutes per game, which were about 40 early on and have dropped lately. Nobody's talking about that part of Derrick's game, and he's supposed to be a rookie.

You went to Northwestern, right?

Ok, that's just a little improbable/creepy. Yes, I did go to Northwestern, but I know I've never posted that tidbit. Shot in the dark? Missouri and Columbia just missed the cut?

You advertised your academic pedigree many times while posting as NSJ.

no matter what happens, Vinny is a dope coaching far too many dopes. The day they get rid of Thomas and Noah is the day I begin to give them some credit again. Somebody should list Paxon's drafts versus the best player he could have had year to year. It will make you sick. Of course they'll be better with John Salmons shoosting. He's better than anything else they have outside of Rose...
