No, its just that after seeing the Bulls put up 120 points on a good team people are drinking the kool aid...its too bad that B&B aren't going to be on at 2 to tell you how stupid people are. |

I'm not quite sipping the Bulls' Kool-Aid...Yeah, they're a better team with the additions of Brad Miller, John Salmons & Tim Thomas, but not even close to Eastern Conference title contention! Anyone who thinks the Bulls are better than the Cleveland LeBrons, I mean Cavaliers, or the NBA Champion Boston Celtics are kidding themselves! If the Bulls are going to be a playoff team in head coach Vinny Del Negro's first season, they're nothing more than a #7 or #8 seed, and that's it. That's not saying much, but the East is a crapshoot beyond the first 4 teams. If they get in, great! If they don't, their inability to win on the road vs. even worse teams than they are, such as the loss in Indiana will bite them in the ass! |

Haven't heard any radio today but are you serious? Do these same people know the Bulls lost in Indiana the other day? Or are they starting to gel? At best, and this is a stretch, the Bulls could be a 6 seed, and would get smoked in 5 games by the Magic. |

Agreed--unless the Magic decide they don't want to play any defense, as in last night's game. The Bulls have no one to guard Howard. All of the Bulls players can be contained fairly easily--that is, unless Rose's development rapidly accelerates. |

John Salmons is the key. You'd be surprised at what can happen in the first round if Vinny actually stumbles upon a good rotation... |

As for the OP, who exactly is saying the Bulls are a threat for an Eastern Conference final bid? No one I've heard. They do, however, seem to have a chance to go from a bad team to a mediocre team. |

Howard will snap Noah like a toothpick. He was only held back by foul trouble. But the Bulls would do well against some other eastern conference teams IF Vinny Del Buddy figures out a rotation. |

The Bulls won't be a playoff team unless they start winning road games, and beating teams that are worse that they are such as the Pacers in Indianapolis Sunday and against a bad Nets' team in New Jersey tonight! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

A couple years back when Yi was drafted and I was living in Madison, I was telling everyone that dude was gonna be great, 2nd best player on a Finals team good, a Pau Gasol type player. Can I take all that back? |

If anyone thinks the Bulls are going to be a playoff team losing to teams worse than them in the standings and on the road to boot, you are sorely mistaken! GM John Paxson & his staff better start preparing for a return visit to that "Match Game"-like set in Secaucus, NJ right now! This is ridiculous!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Shark, why are you so upset every time the Bulls lose a game? We've known since November that this is a bad team that is capable of losing to any team in the league. And why does the thought of missing the playoffs bother you? What would the Bulls get from making the playoffs? More than likely, an early exit but more importantly, the possible justification to keep Vinny Del Negro in charge of this team. That scares me. Personally, I don't care if they don't win another game this year. |

Personally, I don't care if they don't win another game this year. OKC, when this season started, I thought the Bulls were a playoff team and I was willing to give Vinny a chance to succeed like other first-time head coaches have done. Given the fact this team won only 33 games last season with the Brian Hanley-looking Scott Skiles, who should've been fired after the 2nd Round debacle vs. the Pistons, and the Ron Magers/Dave Cowens-looking Jim Boylan, it would've been something to shoot for. Given the lack of defense this team plays, Vinny's mysterious coaching moves, and Derrick Rose not being in games the Bulls can actually win at the end, I've seen & heard enough! Even if they made it, my expectations stopped at Round 1. The Eastern Conference absolutely sucks, OKC! It doesn't take much to be a #7 or #8 seed, and guess what? Skiles' Bucks will be spit out if they end up playing the Cavs or Celtics in Round 1 as the #8 seed! ![]() ![]() |

SHARK, I understand you love sports - but you really have no clue what the hell you're talking about on ANY level. I had a good mind to dissect your response and counter you, but it would be an exercise in futility. |

Why did you think they were a playoff team in the first place? What made you think this would even vaguely resemble a halfway-decent team? |

I'm not referring to anyone in specific, but I am shocked that anyone is surprised that Vinny Del Negro sucks as a coach. His first game ever as a coach of any type at any level was the first game of the season. He's never even been an assistant coach. There are Chicago high school coaches that would have been more qualified for the job. |

Because this was the same core that somehow swept the Miami Heat and ended their bid to repeat as NBA Champions but got schooled in 6 by the Detroit Pistons in 2005. What in the hell happened? It's becoming painfully obvious something's very wrong, and I'm among them. ![]() |

That's why I'm rooting for the Bulls to absolutely not crawl into the playoffs. If that were to happen I have a bad feeling that Paxson would find it difficult to fire Vinny seeing as how would've "led" the Bulls to postseason in his first coaching tenure anywhere. That would be bad news for the franchise and more importantly, bad news for Derrick Rose. |

A while back before one of the many bad losses in New York, VDN said that Derrick Rose is the "NBA Rookie of the Year". I wonder if Rose's starting to lose the grip on an award he hasn't necessarily earned... ![]() |

Rose is a pathetic defender. He makes Gordon look good...that's why his ass is on the bench at the end of games. He is awful! |

I'll tolerate him for the rest of the season if I have to, but I won't pay any attention the Bulls if he's the coach next year. I'd take Tim Floyd back over Vinny. The good news is that I think that's pretty much impossible. |

Correct, Rose isn't a good defender but any NBA observer will tell you that's the toughest adjustment for a rookie to make. But I don't think he's any worse a defender than Gordon. |

Speaking of Tim Floyd, Comcast SportsNet's Chuck Garfien catches up with the former Bulls' head coach and current coach of USC tonight on "SportsNite" at 10p. Think the onetime former Bulls' head coach would have any better luck with this uneven roster? Once upon a time, many NBA "experts" thought Floyd's Bulls would challenge the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers for all-time futility... |

He'll get better but he isn't too good right now. It would be nice if we had a coach who could teach him how to play defense instead of just bench him. Scott Skiles would have had Rose playing much better defense. It's not a coincidence that the whole team plays bad defense now. |

I thought that defensive "wizard" Lindsey Hunter was mentoring Rose. What the hell is he doing just collecting a check? Saying Rose will be a better defensive player doessn't mean it will happen! |
