Here's a way out: 2 huge icons bit the dust within a couple of days of each other---its hard to spread around the mourning-resources. If the Bulls upper brass has genuine regret for not giving him his fair due while he was alive, why not put out the extra effort and make up for it with a huge dedication later? With GENUINE regret and a sincere effort to make up for it, Norm would approve from above.
