ORLANDO — With healthy bodies at a low and minutes played at a high, Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro canceled practice Tuesday and took his team bowling to blow off steam.

And, no, Dwyane Wade didn't receive an invitation.

If he had, one could picture him and Ben Gordon rolling strike after strike, continuing their shootout from Monday night's double-overtime thriller that had anybody even remotely connected to the NBA still buzzing the day after.

"Man," said former Bull and journeyman guard Rick Brunson, now on Virginia's coaching staff. "D-Wade looked like Jordan out there."

Indeed, Wade's brilliant performance, which included his strip of John Salmons and tease to Bulls fans worldwide with his running, game-winning, buzzer-beater three-pointer, will live in NBA annals.

Of more immediate concern to Bulls fans is how players put such a devastating loss behind them and whether Gordon can maintain his torrid pace that featured 43 points and eight three-pointers against Miami.

He didn't look like Jordan because Jordan didn't miss 4 game sealing late regulation free throws that would necessitate double OT in the first place.
Nice to see that there's Kool Aid flowing in Orlando.

Quite naturally, I take offense that this Dwade character or anybody else would ever look like myself. Certainly, no one has ever looked like Michael Jordan.

Hell, I don't even look like Michael Jordan now.

YOU TELL MYSELF!!!  YOU TELL MYSELF I SAID IT!!!

I kind of like this. This may be the first thing Vinnie has done right.

What about Vinny's team superbowl party? The teamwork sure has been great the past month and a half...

here's what Vinny could do right:

make sure Gordon and Rose are rarely on the floor together...

Take Thomas out every time he:
a) stares down an official
b) yells at a teammate, except Noah
c) does something stupid
so basically he won't be playing anymore...

Stop playing Jokim Noah...

Play Brad Miller and John Salmons until their legs fall off...

Stop playing Luol Deng when he comes back...

That is all.

Did anyone else find that Bruson quote a little odd?
A former Bull who is now on Virginia's coaching
staff? Who cares what he thinks. Is that the
only guy they could get to comment on this game?

if Jokim shows up for bowling, there will be a murder at Irving Park Bowling Lanes. Then I'll take his clown suit and burn it.
