Besides the fact they will lose in the first round, would they be more competitive against Boston or Cleveland? |

-Bulls would get swept by Cleveland -Bulls would lose to Boston in 6 games. -Bulls would lose to Orlando in 6 games. Bulls are a tough team to beat at home. We would win 2 games at home vs the Celtics and Magic. It's still a 2-3-2 format, right? So we would take 2 out of 3 in games 3,4 & 5. If we get the 7 seed we avoid Cleveland. Boston and Orlando are battling for the 2 seed and the right to play the 7 seed. I'd like to see us get Boston. There is a better chance that one of their "Big 3" gets hurt during the series and we can win. Maybe Garnett and Pierce will get hurt. They are older players. |

Oh yeah. It's 2-2-1-1-1. So the Bulls will take games 3 & 4 vs the Celtics or Magic. They'll lose the series at the United Center in game 6. |

I do not think it matters who they play, they will not win more than 1 game. |

people are overrating the Celtics. That's all I'll say. They at full strength nearly lost to the Hawks last year. I don't think they're the team everyone seems to think they are. |

Boston is far from a powerhouse. Depending on matchups, Boston could get to the Conference Finals, but they can just as easily take a second-round exit. Cleveland is by far the team no one in the East wants to meet in the playoffs. |

Right now, I don't think it really matters who the Bulls play if they make the NBA Playoffs. I think they are a one-and-done, regardless of they maintain the #8 and get the LeBrons, I mean Cavaliers, the NBA Champion Celtics in a possible #2 vs. #7 matchup or even the Magic in a Best-of-7 Series. I don't think the Bulls match up real good against any of them, they're terrible defensively, and they're an awful road team. Reggie Miller, who called last night's game vs. Detroit and will work the TNT game tomorrow night vs. Miami at United Center with Mike Fratello & Marv Albert, seems to think if the Bulls make the playoffs, the NBA Rookie of the Year should be Derrick Rose, even though the Grizzlies' O.J. Mayo has had a really good first year with another bad Memphis team. |

I think they are better off not making the playoffs and taking a chance on the balls bouncing the right way again. As I said elsewhere if there is any risk with the wrist rest Rose more than absolutely necessary. Rather not make the playoffs than risk him making it worse or causing damage. |

Is there any help in the college ranks? No. Do the Bulls matchup vs. the Cavs, Celtics and/or Magic if they make the playoffs? No. If the Bulls were still in the Western Conference, this discussion is over. GM John Paxson and his staff are planning to make the trip to the "Match Game"-like set in Secaucus, NJ this May if they were still in the West... They're in the East, and it doesn't take much for a team that's maddeningly inconsistent to make the playoffs. It doesn't mean the Bulls are deserving by any means. |

The Sixers schedule after tonight includs Boston and Cleveland twice. I don't think the Bulls match up well with Dwight Howard so I'd rather see them get which ever slot, #6 or #7 that puts them up again the Celtics. |

Yeah, but last I checked, they still won the championship last year even after that struggle. However this year, they are older and have a lot of miles plus we don't know if KG will be 100% because of these factors I'd rather see them face Boston. |

The bulls will be swept by Orlando or Cleveland. They simply cannot contend with either team. They might be able to take Boston to 5 or maybe 6 games if they are lucky. It all really depends on how healthy KG is. If im the Bulls I try to position myself for a 1st round meeting with Boston the best I can. |

Of course not, Rick...I was referring to a possible playoff date vs. a Celtics team that's won 5 in a row after beating New Jersey at the buzzer last night at home. At last check, Kevin Garnett or no KG, they're still the NBA Champions... |

Pick your poison...I don't think the Bulls will win ANY of the first round series against whoever they end up playing, no matter if they're the #7 seed or the #8 in the East. Besides, the Cavaliers WON AGAIN(!) last night over Washington at Quicken Loans Arena, and still have lost ONLY ONE HOME GAME all season. The folks at ABC Sports (ESPN on ABC) are praying in their New York & Bristol, CT offices for a LeBron/Kobe NBA Finals... |

SHARK wrote: At last check, Kevin Garnett or no KG, they're still the NBA Champions... That's a pretty paper-thin argument SHARK. Yeah, and in 1999 the Bulls were still NBA Champions and they had a starting lineup of Brent Barry, Mark Bryant, Ron Harper, Toni Kukoc, and Andrew Lang. Where did that get them? You're not projected based on last year's performance. You're judged by how you look this year and this year, the Celtics look very beatable. |

I think that the Bulls will be lucky to take the Celts to 6 games, but stranger things have happened. I don't think that we'd be better off missing the playoffs and hoping for something in the draft. I would like some positive steps to be taken for a (overall) young team, and I think playoff experience can specifically help season D-Rose, furthering his NBA development |

A playoff spot for the Bulls means two things in my opinion...First, Vinny Del Negro will be back as the head coach, whether we like it or not. Second, Derrick Rose will be the NBA Rookie of the Year over O.J. Mayo and another bad season for the Memphis Grizzlies. Other than that, don't get too excited. This Bulls team sucks away from the United Center! You know it. I know it. The folks in Atlanta, home of TNT, know it. The folks in Bristol, CT, home of ESPN, know it. |

Aren't you the same guy back in December and January who had a fit after every Bulls loss because it didn't look like they'd make the playoffs? Making the playoffs seemed to matter a lot to you then (even when I was telling you it didn't). Why the change of heart? Why the sudden apathy about the Bulls playoff hopes? You were their main cheerleader a couple of months ago. |

This is really the only reason for me not wanting the Bulls in the playoffs. I don't think Vinny is the right coach for this team (or any team) and the success of this year may bring about an extension for himself. |

OKC, I thought the Bulls WERE going to be a playoff team this year from Day 1. I tempered any enthusiasm I had when they lost a bunch of clunkers to the likes of New York, New Jersey, Washington, Memphis & Indiana AWAY FROM HOME and in not exactly competitive fashion either. I also said not to get too excited once they made it. If they were a Western Conference team, OKC, this discussion is null & void. |

You guys have no faith in this Bulls team. So long as Dung sits, this team is a hell of alot better than ppl think. Cup- I think, so long as they dont get the LeBrons, they win their first round matchup. |

The LeBrons, I mean Cavs, have lost ONLY ONE HOME GAME this year, while the Bulls have won just 10 road games all season & don't play much defense either. As for Luol Deng, the Bulls paid him $82 million for this?! |

They are going to have to utilize Tyrus, jokein, and miller together like some unholy trinity of red, it can be done. Cup- its not rocket scientist, and yeah, a nice chop to the knee would be a good thing. |
