Why not keep him? He's young and improving , maybe him and Noah lightened up on the blunts!

Thomas is maddening, a million dollar talent with a ten cent brain. I don't know what to make of him. I'm sure Pax feels the same.
He could be a force, if he would just realize his limitations and understand the game more. I don't know if it is coaching or his hard-headedness that is the problem. This is his third head coach, so I lean more to the former.

The problem with Tyrus improving is that now that he is getting confidence he thinks he is turning into some kind of superstar. He's throwing up that bad jumper alot more lately, and even trying to take guys 1 on 1 to the basket. Those are both things he cannot do, and everytime he tries them, he hurts the team. For every one amazing play he makes on defense, I can find ten plays where he gets beat and looks really bad. If I were Vinny, I would tell Thomas that for every jumper you take over 10 feet, there will be a thousand dollar fine, two thousand if you make it. Hopefully he works on his game in the offseason and doesn't come into camp out of shape again. He was no where to be found the first two months of this season. The same goes for Noah.

Someone needs to tell Tyrus to look for the free-throw line whenever he has the ball, and if he's farther from the basket than that, don't shoot!

Our boy Tyrus getting some love for DPOY. At least he's beginning to get some recognition, whether it's justified or not.

As to who he reminds me of, right now it's kind of hard to say. He's such a weird player, meaning he'll fill out a stat sheet with the points, rebounds, steals, blocks, assists, fouls, turnovers, etc. And I say let him continue to shoot the jumper because when he becomes at least decent at it, it will allow him to blow by defenders who have to honor the shot. I don't see it as a bad thing at all that he's taking jumpshots. I want him to expand on his game, he just has to learn when to take it and when to go to the rim. Next year, he should be putting up AK47 in his heyday-ish stats(15ppg, 9rpg, 3apg, 3bpg, 1.5spg). If not, I'll be really disappointed in him.

serial though, dubT isnt a bad player. he usually tries (likely his intensity will fade in the early half his career though) and he can flat out jump so high and well that it does help your team, and you can argue he hurts your team just as much but for now he is still young and those mistakes can still be reduced... it is if and hopes but you cant deny his abilities... i just worry he turns out to be a ben gordon persona where he gets some cred and takes it to hollywood and thinks hes worth more to this world then he really is
