If Garnett is more hurt than the Cletics are letting on I say Boston in six. If he is fine and just resting Boston in Four.

Celtics will win this series, but I don't believe it will be as easy as most think it will be. I honestly have no reason or facts to support my statement, it's just how I feel. Celtics in 6.

And for the record, Orlando would of beat the Bulls as well, they just would of had a better chance to pull an upset against them due to the injuries.

Bulls in 7. I'm doing good on my predictions...

Oh and KG and Brad Miller will get into a tiff...

I wouldn't have a problem with anyone that doesn't mean much to the team pulling a Robert Horry. Paul Pierce seems like a nice target.

I like Ray Allen but maybe someone should elbow him in the stones. Couldn't
believe the guy from the Cavs took that and didn't even react. He has to be
up for stud of the year.

Just saw this on ESPN:

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers says there is a strong possibility that Kevin Garnett will miss the whole postseason.

The All-Star forward has missed most of the last two months with a strained right knee. He had been recovering with an eye towards the playoffs, but Rivers said he had to shut Garnett down at practice Thursday morning and "there's no way" he could play right now.

Rivers said on a radio show that Garnett was frustrated but understood that it was the right thing to do.

The defending NBA champions begin the best-of-seven first round series against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

Yeah, I just saw that to. If this stays true, the Bulls success could fall on John Salmons' ability to defend Paul Pierce. With the bad groin, that could cause some problems. I also think Rivers could be trying to fool everyone on the condition of Garnett through the media, we will just have to wait and see. If Garnett is out, I change my prediction from Celtics in 5 to Celtics in 6.

Garnett is out. He won't be playing against the Bulls. If he's bullshitting about this, he's an idiot.

Why would trying to fool your opponent be a bad thing?

Strategy is so lame.

On paper, the matchups aren't horrible but . . .

Should be an interesting series without KG. The matchups arent terrible for the Bulls. Thank god Luol Deng is hurt. Bulls in 7.

Even with KG sidelined, the Celtics win this series in 5 games. The Bulls don't play defense, and I won't be shocked if the Champs beat the Bulls like a government mule in the first 2 on Boston's parquet floor by at least 15 points.

If KG is really sitting this one out, ho0w could the celts possibly be the favorites next to this up and coming Bulls team.

I say derrick rose puts on a jordanesque performance, then the bulls get swept next round.

Cup- Bulls in 6

63 points and the Bulls still lose, Supercup? No thanks...

Good prediction. I'm going with that, too. Celtics will be just interested enough to win this series.

Post subject:  Re: Bulls/Celtics

While everybody's talking about the likely loss of KG for the Champion Celtics, the Bulls have a key injury of their own. John Salmons has been playing with a groin injury lately that nobody's talking about beyond the Berto Center. I'd keep a close eye on this one...Finally, the Celtics didn't exactly sweep ANY of their opponents en route to last June's 17th NBA Championship in franchise history. These Bulls are NOT last year's Atlanta Hawks, who somehow took the Celts to 7 before losing the game and their composure in a blowout...

It's actually been discussed by the AP, Tribune, Sun-Times, and Sporting News, among others.

Yes, but they were all inside the Berto Center at the time.

Rondo is better than Rose. I must admit I was wrong about how good he could be. When I look at their new starting 5 the only spot the Bulls have the edge is Thomas over Powe. This is a series where Deng could have made a difference. Especially with Salmons dealing with the groin injury. I really hope he hasn't been channeling his inner Mark Prior.

He's better than Rose now...but lets look back at the thread a year or 2 from now and see....I have no doubt in my mind that Rose will be #3 PG in the league behind Chris Paul and Deron Williams.

Rajon Rondo is one of those guys who fell under the radar, but he's developed quite nicely for the Champs from Boston. I think he's one of those guys who definitely bears watching in this series.

I think in a couple years he will be ahead of Deron and the #2 guy.
