Shouldn't one of them be leaning over and whispering in Vinny's ear, "we only have one timeout left, we need to save it for a possible last possession." It just seems like those two have just been cashing checks all year and not mentoring Vinny at all. |

Nas wrote: Vinny seems like the type of guy that doesn't like advice. He wants to live and die with the decisions he makes. I'm sure someone is telling him how many timeouts he has. Even high school teams have someone doing that. I think he is afraid of looking like a rookie clueless head coach but the strategy is backfiring because he is clearly over his head. One of the keys to being a good leader is delegating tasks. Even Phil Jackson was willing to have assistant coaches take major roles in gameplan and scheme. He should take a look at the career of Mike Brown and attempt to mimic that. |

As a youth coach in basketball,a number of years back I called a timeout after my 5th/6th grade team made a dramatic last minute comeback. Problem was,I used all my TO's already (according to the scorekeeper,at least). The ref called me for a technical & gave the other team 2 shots. We lost by one. It still haunts me today,I can't imagine screwing up on the big stage! |

Hubie Brown says Vinnie used his timeouts correctly because the Bulls are a young team that has trouble staying in road games. Since the timeouts helped the Bulls slow Boston's momentum, he thinks Vinnie did the right thing. Ultimately he seems to think that if Vinnie didn't use the timeouts, the Bulls wouldn't have been in the game at the end. |

The Bulls got the ball after Allen's 3 with 25 seconds left on the clock, they let it tick down until 20 before Vinny called the timeout. And after that, I want to know if it was Vinny's call or Ben Gordon's call to shoot with 14 seconds still left on the clock. |

While I do not agree with how he handled the timeouts and other things this year, I do like that type of attitude from our head coach. |
