What say you? I say pull the trigger. Elson and Ridnour are both off the books at the end of the season, this saves a bit of money, and you'd now have the 10th, the 16th, and the 26th to work with in the draft.

Edit: oh, and Ridnour would make a fine backup PG in the interim.

Where did you hear this reported?

If so, I say do it.

Not that the picks mean much of anything in this draft, but getting salary off the books could help in an effort to make a push for a very good 2010 free agent.

RealGm.

I like it because it gives us a good backup PG for this year, clears $9M off the cap for next year (and $8M the year after), and because it gives us three picks to work with to try and draft a player who can help the team while giving us more options for trades.

Hasn't Hinrich been saying he expects to be traded to Portland?

I like the deal, but I'd also like to get rid of Gordon--that is, unless he's willing to take 6th man type money.

It's a 2010 play for sure, but it really hurts you 2009, especially if Ben walks.

This is one of the worst draft in years - and of course, the Bulls could have 3 picks in it.

I guess try and do it, but I would try and find a way to unload at least 2 of those draft picks to get something of value.

While trying to trade draft picks is great and all, it's not like other teams don't also know this draft sucks and are in no rush to acquire these bogus picks.

Supposedly, but that may be nothing more than a rumor (not unlike this trade proposal). There's talk that a trade to Portland would have Blake and Outlaw coming back, which would be fine with me.

You don't need to get rid of Gordon; all you have to do is not sign him.

Anything that gets White Jesus here to provide the gritty, lubch pail type work, and heart of a champion that he has, Iam all for it.

At 16 White Jesus will be a Bull.
