And the Taj Gibson era begins. Damn. This really hurts the Bulls depth and rotation. |

I have never heard of someone breaking their forearm by doing a pull up. Something is fishy. |

This strikes me as odd as well, especially given recent events. I'd be more surprised if it was truly from working out and not from some sort of altercation. |

OK so since the bulls are more like the bears politically, rather then most NBA teams, we are left to guess what really happened. im thinkin too much HGH too fast and his bones became weak. his nose broke a few years ago when it was elbowed, which happens, but now his arms are falling off when he uses them to pull up. hes weak, he's life stupid, hes basketball retarded but otherwise probably a decent guy. as soon as there is a team in search of a tall woman to play forward he will be gone though... |

This will give us a good opportunity to see how this team can do without him since it would not surprise me if they trade him before the deadline. Good opportunity for their 2 rookie forwards |

If there's a "conspiracy", I don't think it's anything like Ike suggested ... which, generally speaking, is my position on whatever. ![]() Rather, I would like to think that, behind closed doors, somebody somewhere manned-up with their fire and passion and told T2 what the fucking lay of the land is, and that he would be quietly suspended for a period of time as one last "chance" to go home, think about reality, and perhaps come back and not be such a knob-lick. I would like to think that, ...... but I actually don't. Maybe it's Divine Providence?!? |

It was either arm wrestling match or he was "e mailing his brother" and hit his arm on the monitor. |

Several sources believe the Bulls are agreeable to a package of Thomas and Jerome James(notes) for Knicks forward Al Harrington(notes). Thus far, Walsh has resisted parting with Harrington, but discussions are still active and the teams have explored different combinations in recent days that would ultimately deliver Thomas to the Knicks. “Nothing is imminent, but both sides would like to figure out a way to do this,” one league executive briefed on the talks told Yahoo! Sports. The Bulls are determined to shed more salary-cap space for the summer of 2010, and believe Harrington’s ability to score coupled with a $10.2 million expiring contract make this a worthy exchange. Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni has long been fond of Thomas, a 6-foot-9 forward whose nimbleness and athleticism makes him an intriguing fit for New York. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns |

That's interesting. Gives the Bulls a little more scoring, and will open up even more cap space for next year. Do it. Thomas won't get an extension anyway, and he hasn't (and probably never will) live up to his potential/draft selection. |

For several reasons. |

I also heard a report about Beno Udrih (I believe this was from Yahoo Sports) as well for Thomas, but that would seem to make less sense because Harrington has an expiring deal, Udrih is in year 2 or 3 of a 4 or 5 year deal that he signed with Sacramento. |

This deal should have been done yesterday. It makes the Bulls better for this season, and gives them another expiring deal. Bye Tyrus |

Even though he's still out of action, I'd make the Tyrus Thomas/Jerome James/Al Harrington deal in a heartbeat myself, especially with more bad money coming off the books... |

I dont think this is a serious rumor. If it is, I can understand the hesitation on the Knicks part. No way the Bulls are dumb enough to pass this deal up |

I view Tyrus now as basketball's version of Devin Hester. He will do one amazing thing every once in awhile that will make you say, "Holy Shit! Did you just see that?". And for every one of those awesome moments there will be ten, "What the fuck is that guy thinking?!?" moments. He is not getting any better than what we have already seen these past few years, and if the Bulls give him an extension I am going to club John Paxson and Gar Forman over the head with sock filled with quarters. |

Thats not really fair to Hester. He's way more accomplished as an athlete. |

FavreFan wrote: Thats not really fair to Hester. He's way more accomplished as an athlete. True, but I think both guys are dumb as a stone. I think Tyrus is one of most gifted athletes in the league. Some of the stuff he can do on both ends of the floor are amazing. The problem is his terrible work ethic, and along with lack of a brain. If you take Tyrus' athletic skills and combine it with a work ethic and smarts of a guy like say KG, that is one damn good ball player. Thomas will never become someone like that though. He's just a second coming of Stromile Swift. |

People need to get over the athletism & look at basketball ability. |
