noah meltdown. justified, theyre not even letting him play oden when oden has the clear advantage, not to mention the fact the rest of the team either doesnt care or in derrik roses case, just not that good. |

seeing the bulls play the blazers is always a kick in the balls. so glad the bulls drafted tyrus instead of aldridge also brad miller is praised all the time for being such a great passer but all i ever see from him are bad bad bad passes. in general this year hes just been bad. |

If i'm not mistaken, tteh Bull drafted Aldridge and traded him for rights to TT.... but point taken. I feel Aldridge is overrated but, Tyrus isn't a great player either at this point. |

miller does suck. he makes a couple shots you wouldnt think he would, but other then that he is just a pouty faced ogar. and even though noah didnt look great last night, he also looked STILL undersized for what his frame shows. up against oden, he might have been having a hard time but i have a feelin within the next couple years noah's defense will nuetralize oden's offense pretty damn well. if noah keeps growing like he did last summer, he very well might turn into one of the top post defenders in the league. not that any of it matters though. unless wade or lebron comes to chicago i think we can pretty much forget about championships for the next decade or so |

aldridge averaged 18 points 8 rebounds the last 2 seasons which is better than anyone currently on the bulls roster. he can play in the post or as we saw the other night hit an outside shot. tyrus, while i give him credit for kind of developing a jump shot, is not even in the same category as aldridge. shoulda coulda woulda. the bulls have alot of those this decade |

The Blazers will not win a championship with this team unless they make one more acquisition of a player who is top 5-10 at his position in the league, especially small forward. I said it at the time and I've been proven right: the undoing of this team was the Greg Oden pick. That's an unpopular opinion in Portland because he's beloved by the fans. He tries hard and he really does care about what people think about him, even the press. He would get eaten alive in other markets. This poses a significant problem for Blazers management on three levels if they choose to cut bait on Oden: one, it will be a very unpopular move to "give up" on him so soon; two, it will be an admission that they whiffed on a very fortunate bounce of the ping pong ball; three, time is an issue because he's up for an extension at the end of the season and committing big dollars to Oden will tie Paul Allen's hands unless he chooses to get pounded by the luxury tax. Had Portland drafted Kevin Durant, they would be legit championship contenders. Right now. LaMarcus Aldridge is a very polished player but he will not be the 2nd best player on a championship team. Brandon Roy is the real deal and has a shot to be one of the 10 best players in the league during his prime. The Blazers have a very strong bench, maybe the best in the NBA with Andre Miller, Rudy Fernandez, Travis Outlaw among others. It's too bad because the Blazers—in terms of major league sportss—is all Portland has and all we're likely to have... ever, except maybe hockey. No baseball or football stadium will be built here. We may be able to steal the Thrashers, Predators or some other struggling NHL team because the Rose Garden is here. Regardless any other team would play 4th fiddle to the Blazers, Ducks and Beavers football. The Civil War would be bigger than a Stanley Cup Finals game, especially one with the stakes so high, as they are this year. God bless you if you made it through my SHARK-like assessment. |

Turns out Bill Simmons attended a Pistons-Blazers game while in town on his book tour. I couldn't agree with this more: Quote: ...the best way to describe the crowd's support for Oden: It's like watching 15,000 parents rooting for their kid, only all 15,000 parents fathered the same kid. If he ever explodes for 30 points, 20 rebounds and eight blocks in a game, you'll have to carry each deliriously passed-out Portland fan out of the Rose Garden individually like they were victims of smoke inhalation in a burning house. (The funny thing is, everyone in Portland is nodding right now. And yes, I know he's had a couple of inspired games this season. You don't need to e-mail me the stat lines. No, really. Save us both the time. Let's not put too much pressure on him. Baby steps.)
