12/23/2009 Chicago Tribune Yesterday the Bulls tied the NBA record for worst bounce-back game after a loss. End of world. |

This team is absolute garbage, yet they still somehow have a shot at a playoff spot in the Leastern Conference... |

It just shows you how clueless Vinnny is. If my fiance, who knows almost nothing about the Bulls proves Vinny wrong, then there is a major problem. |

Interesting that the refs were able to get that last insignificant foul call in with about 1/2 second on the clock to take a NY 5 point lead to 7. Glad I had the -6 on NY. |

The thing that really irks me about these postgame press conferences is Vinny's attitude. After a tough or embarasing loss all he says are the same dumb cliches. "We can't hang our heads", "We need to play a full 48 minutes", "We need to step up our intensity", etc. It's the same shit every game. I don't want a meatball coach that is going to get in people's faces and scream or start grabbing jerseys, but a coach that shows a little emotion would be nice to see. Call someone out in the press who isn't doing their job. Phil Jackson was so good at this stuff. The guy never yelled, but he knew what button's to push, and when to push them, and when not to push them. With Vinny it's the same shit every day. I wanted to see a Jim Mora-like press conference (The playoffs?) after the Sacramento game, and his reaction was more pathetic than the actual game. |

Ref review lets Knicks cover spread Commissioner David Stern should know about the final second of tonight's game.<p> 1:07 AM, December 23, 2009 ι MARC BERMAN Commissioner David Stern should know about the final second of tonight's game. Stern should know about how the three referees who officiated tonight's Bulls-Knicks game at the Garden were intent on reviewing whether Danilo Gallinari was fouled during a scramble before the buzzer sounded and the Knicks up five. The point-spread in Las Vegas had the Knicks as five-point favorites. The officiating crew - Derrick Stafford, Brian Forte, David Guthrie - spent nearly a minute reviewing a monitor to see whether there was contact with Gallinari 40 feet from the basket before the buzzer. All the players and coaches wanted to do was leave the court. The three referees did not let them. The officials ruled there was a Kirk Hinrich foul 40 feet from the ball, with .3 seconds left. Gallinari went to the free-throw line, made both free throws, put the Knicks up seven. The Knicks covered in Las Vegas. Somewhere, Tim Donaghy was smiling and a bunch of gamblers at the MGM Grand who had the Bulls were ready to smash the high-def video screen. |
