TNT's Charles Barkley is the latest to weigh in on the Vinny Del Negro saga. He said before TNT's coverage of the Heat/Spurs' game that "what the Bulls are doing with Vinny Del Negro is a disgrace." He made those remarks while Ernie Johnson was trying to show how Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and the Bulls won going away in Detroit this afternoon 98-87 for the Bulls' third win in a row.

Tracy McGrady...Keep him. Besides, he's another player that Uncle Jerry won't pay the NBA's luxury tax, even though he's got an expiring contract, but a game that's injury-prone in recent years and washed up.

If they do pull the trigger, I expect him to be paid to stay home.

Seems like he'd be a perfect fit for the Knicks though

I thought they were trying to clear salary cap space for a certain spoilsport who may wear a Yankees' cap when not sporting the Cavaliers' #23 in Cleveland, LeBron James...

If they get TMac it is completely with the idea of clearing cap space for next year. There is no way they trade for him because they think he is part of the puzzle.

McGrady is an expiring contract, so yes.

However, the post was a joke, as the Knicks LOVE players like McGrady is currently. At least Isiah did.

When I think Tracy McGrady, I think of that time a decade ago when the Bulls were trying to land a big name free agent when they and the Orlando Magic had all that salary cap space. McGrady got embarrassed when the Luv-a-Bulls and Benny the Bull surprised the then free agent at O'Hare and he couldn't wait to get the hell out of Chicago...

Do you blame him? I would have turned right back around and got on the plane. That was the year we were told the Bulls were targeting Duncan and Hill. Never happened. Then it was McGrady. Never happened. Then Tim Thomas. Never happened (thank God). Finally they signed Ron Fucking Mercer.

exactly. Not to sound snobbish but this is why i constantly roll my eyes at people here that talk about the bulls and the league without even the most basic understanding of how the league works. T-mac is incredibly valuable yet people want nothing to do with him even if it entails getting rid of salmons and mugfi bad contracts because he isn't a great player anymore. I haven't done the research but i'd guess half the trades in this league are done with salary in mind moseso than talent

Exact;y. There's no point trading him for Thomas/Miller/James. Their contracts are already expiring. If you give up Salmons, or Hinrich then you make the deal.
