The NBA Trade Deadline is just a week away, and needless to say, the Bulls have an interesting dilemma ahead of them. The Bulls definitely want to be a legitimate player in the much-publicized free agency class this summer, but could they be ready to part company with "Captain" Kirk Hinrich to do so? Thanks to his improved play since supplanting John Salmons in the starting lineup, Hinrich's name has been mentioned in trade talks with a number of teams such as the TrailBlazers, Lakers and according to the Sun-Times' John Jackson this morning, the Celtics. Jackson reports that Hinrich and his big contract could be sent to Boston in a deal that could bring Ray Allen to Chicago. Allen is in the last year of a deal in which he's making $19.8 million in the final year of his contract with Boston, and it could mean even more salary cap space for the Bulls to possibly land a premium free agent or two this summer. At the same time, the Bulls may throw in the very disappointing Tyrus Thomas & the rarely-played Jerome James with the Celts adding another player with Allen in order to meet NBA salary cap rules. Right now, Bulls' fans, I don't think you can get a 12 pack of Bud Light for Thomas given his lack of productivity. |

I would love this move. It makes them better this year, and gives them more flexibility during the offseason. |

If Doc Rivers can't get Tyrus Thomas to help their own frontcourt, I don't know who can...I've seen enough of Tyrus in a Bulls' uniform. Get his sorry ass out of here! |

This makes no sense for Boston as a 2 team deal. I cant see them doing this. |

Salmons needs to be moved in either this deal or a seperate one, as they can't afford to have him his Player Option next year and still be in a position to land two max free agents. Salmons is rumored in a deal to Orlando that would bring back JJ Reddick and filler. |

By Cracky I dunno, can we just move Salmons and keep the facial hair? Maybe we can do this like Woolly Willy and put his chin beard (byyyy craaaaacky) on, say...Coach Vinny?? |
