Just for a moment, assume you are in Lebrons shoes. You can basically have anything you want, within set limits and laws, which team are you going to?

IF I was Lebron, I might go to Durant first, ask him if he will come to the Knicks with me next year, then I sign in NY with Bosh, then get Durant next year.

I might ask them to find a new coach though.

My thought too. If I can get all 3 stars in Miami, I am doing that. If that's not possible, I go to Chi with CBosh.

Very true. However, we do have Rose who is a superstar(not on the level of Wade yet obviously). Couple Rose with the fact of the greater earning/marketing potential that Chicago offers bother locally and globally I think(hope) that outweighs hot latin ass.

I'd say it's 60/40 Bulls in my mind.

I agree with the Sun Times take...they are saying Bulls are going to go hard after Bosh first, hopefully sign him andf that will make up LBJ's mind. I really don't think James knows where he is going yet

Wade's almost 30. If I'm the Bulls, I sell him on the fact that Rose is going to be in his prime for basically the next 10 years. Noah has a good 5-10 years left. Bosh and Deng are still in their mid-20s. You can win a lot of championships in the next 10 years here. 5 of the next 10 is not out of the question and then you get the Kobe treatment.

Plus, having spent a lot of time in both Chicago and Miami, Chicago wins hands down.

I know nothing seems certain at this point. But I'm sure that Bosh is trying to see what LeBron is doing before he makes his move. Although this would be great as far as I'm concerned. Wade isn't going anywhere so after him and James, Bosh is the best thing. Miami can have LeBron and we'll bank on Rose becoming what a lot of us think he can be. A legit superstar. Couple that with Deng, Bosh, Noah and possibly Joe Johnson or some other sharpshooter. I'd gladly pass on James if that's who we get in return.

Generally speaking I agree with your assessment of the two cities. However, do you roll like LBJ rolls? Would a young Dr. Ken trolling for latin infused hotties feel the same?
apologai if said. Serious case of deja vu just hit.

So, if Miami is doing a sign and trade to get Bosh, doesn't that completely take them out of the LBJ sweepstakes. Presuming that Bosh is getting even bigger money from the sign and trade, Miami was already not quite able to do 2 Max deals so they don't have the money for James now, correct?

Seems like that leaves the Bulls as the best cast to join, maybe try to add Nowitzki. Am I misreading this situation?

Does LBJ like to get a nice serving of fish in the late afternoon and then roll to the hotel bar for a couple vodkas before seeing what the "In-the-Theatre" PPVs are in the room?

Maybe get a piece of key lime pie for room service if things get crazy?

I don't think so, by trading Beasley I think they open up enough space for another max contract, but I'm not certain about this, I'm not exactly a basketball savant...

I'm going off of this -

ESPN wrote:
MIAMI HEAT -
Maximum cap room: 1.67 MCs (with Wade re-signed); 2.64 MCs (if Wade leaves)

What needs to happen to get to this amount?: This may be counterintuitive, but the Heat gain more cap room if Wade becomes a free agent than if he invokes the option in his contract to stay with the team through 2010-11. Wade needs to become a free agent. The Heat already have declined the team option on Kenny Hasbrouck. They also released James Jones, whose $4.65 million salary was guaranteed for just $1.86 million -- clearing an additional $2.79 million from the team's books.

What can they do to get more? There's not much left to trim from their roster. To keep Wade and go after both James and Bosh, they'd need to convince at least one of the free agents to take less. Even moving Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers for nothing wouldn't create enough cap room to sign all three star free agents at the full maximum.

That sounds like me today. My thought process was different in my early/mid 20's. If I could have picked a place to live for a while at that age, Miami would be high on my list. Not so much today. In terms of LBJ, I don't think location matters. I believe his next 5 years will be dedicated to cementing his legacy with a title(s).
The rumor mill has been fun. Can't wait to look back at them once the dust settles and see what he chose.

If Miami does a sign and trade to get Bosh they would still have enough money to sign LeBron because they would like give Beasley away.
