I think they're mistaken. They thought LeBron said he wanted to play with Boozer, but what he actually said was that he wanted to play "boozed-up".

If someone gave Boozer the max they should be fired immediately. He was never a max guy. He should have never been an $80M man. Last year no one wanted to give him $12M.

If he can stay healthy, and that's a big IF, it's a solid move given they couldn't land Bosh. And they still have your buddy Deng. I can see both of them in street clothes injured. All depends on his health and if they can get a shooter or two and build some depth with the cash available. LBJ is going to stay in Cleveland IMO where he can be God and be worshipped accordingly.

I'm not convinced his recruiting efforts would've made a difference, but I do wonder why he wasn't involved. Several reporters have indicated that Rose doesn't want to become a "Second Banana." I wonder if this is true. Would he rather be the top guy on a perennial runner-up or a second fiddle on a championship team?

With LeBron the Bulls have the best start 5 in the NBA and would likely come out of the East. With LeBron Miami has the best "Big 3" in the NBA but the lineup isn't better than the Lakers or Magic IMO.

That's a lot of guys taking the minimum. They are minimum players for a reason. They're either old or bad. Unless they manage to keep Beasley IMO the Heat would be the 3rd best team in the league on paper. At the very least LeBron now has someone to pass the ball to in the 4th quarter.

While the Heat's "Big 3" is younger and better the Celtics "Big 3" made more sense team wise. Ray Allen could should the ball better than anyone in the league and Paul Pierce was good at getting his own shot and KG did the dirty work down in the post. Wade and LeBron are basically the same player in many ways and Bosh likes to operate on the perimeter way more than KG ever did. He isn't tough enough to handle Gasol or Bynum either. Should be a fun season.

You might get a couple old veterans to come along for one last ride at the minimum salary, but I don't think you can fill out a roster with those types of guys either. One or two...fine. But adding 9 other old farts wouldn't be helpful either. They are obviously going to be very good this year, but I just don't see them winning a championship.

Exactly. I suppose they could pull a Celtics/Spurs and coast through the regular season and try to limit their minutes....as long as you're IN the playoffs that's all that matters. But yeah, as sexy as it sounds it's just not practical.

Plus I think with the CBA, with a lot of teams still flush with cash and most of the major free ajents dried up, a lot of those "lesser" players are going to be getting more than they're worth. So I think it's going to be harder to convince someone to play for the minimum. Like DB said, maybe 1 or 2 will, but it's going to be hard to get 9

No I wouldn't. I would be happy but I wouldn't think title without seeing what else is around them. That's obviously a great start. They have 2 of the top 4 or 5 players in the NBA on their team and one of the best big men in the game. That being said I still don't expect them to be better than the Lakers or the Magic.

I really do believe that this was a done deal a long time. I doubt there is an objective person that can honestly say Miami with Wade and Bosh offers LeBron a better chance at winning than the cast the Bulls have right now. It's just not possible. The fact that LeBron is about to play for a team that won't be his is reason enough to fire Maverick. The best player in the NBA is about to play the role of Robin.

I'm going to miss defending Lebron to you. A lot of the things you've said in the past about him are 100% right. He just seems to not have the right grasp on things.
