http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/n ... id=5384815 J.J. Redick will remain a member of the Orlando Magic, according to numerous reports. Redick signed a three-year offer sheet worth nearly $20 million with the Chicago Bulls last week. The Magic had seven days to match and have done so, according to reports. By inking Redick, the Magic have put themselves over the luxury-tax threshold. The Bulls' offer had been front-loaded for that purpose. Redick averaged 9.6 points a game for the Magic last season, his best in the NBA. Drafted 11th overall out of Duke, Redick was the 2005-06 college player of the year. The Bulls were $30 million under the salary cap this offseason and had intended to sign two premier free agents to max contracts. While Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were rumored to be interested at different times, Carlos Boozer was the only big name to land in Chicago. |

So counting the luxury tax, how much are Magic paying to keep him? |

I am not an NBA capologist but I heard it was double the money on the first year so 7Mil times 2 = 14....Orlando's owners must have some money they want to unload before the lockout....why do they need Vince, Q Richardson, and Reddick when they all have the same limited game at this point. None of these guys will be caught dead going to the basket. Did Barnes resign with them? I would rather the Bulls get him. |

I will answer my own question....per Matt Barnes' Twitter..... Matt Barnes says he has a major "surprise" planned for his fans today. The gritty small forward has promised his 22,570 Twitter followers that he will announce where he will sign today. On Thursday, Barnes wrote on Twitter: "2maro is the day. I will let my fans know where I'm going to sign. Its gonna SURPRISE you!!!! Keep it locked.." It's unclear what, exactly, that surprise is. I think Chicago would qualify as a surprise |

So what happens next? There aren't that many guys left out there. Press conference for the re-signing of miller? |

It's a shame that Matt Barnes is announcing his decision today. I planned on putting up some billboards. The guy is definitely Chicago Tough. |

I didn't mind JJ, but would love Ronnie Brewer. His length/defense would really help defend 2 of the big 3. |

Ticket prices reduced, cash returned to season ticket purchasers, maybe fill out the roster with WNBA players. Urlacher's missing neck wrote: So what happens next? There aren't that many guys left out there. Press conference for the re-signing of miller?

I have to imagine that JJ resigning with the Magic means Vince Carter is going to be traded. Frankly, I wouldn't mind having him on the Bulls. |

The 2011 lockout and subsequent contraction of the league by a couple teams can't happen soon enough. |

Uber Pass. |

Last 2 years,Gordon & Heinrich gone but Deng still here. I think the Heinrich move might hurt. A move the Bulls would have never made if the BIG_3 would have announced their intentions from the beginning. Player Collusion...They should all be suspended half a season. I know that will not happen, but they screwed over a lot of teams. |

They are going to have an estimated $11-$12 million remaining. I would expect them to make a push now towards signing Ronnie Brewer (probably something like 3 years, $12 million) and another big man with Brad Miller the favorite (maybe a Kurt Thomas type) on a 1 year deal for about $2-$3 million. They could enter next season with both Korver and Gibson coming off the bench so there's some solid depth there, but I still think they are a scorer short. Unless they add one more swing man, they probably enter next season with about $5-$6 million remaining on their cap. |

I see them finishing it off with Brewer and Miller for sure, and probably Acie Law. Correct on Brewer, I'm been making that mistake now for a week. Agreed on Law as well, probably has a very good chance of coming back now. |
