I am on board right now with Bulls management in holding steady on the no deal with Noah for Melo. 1. In order to trade Melo someone needs to match salaries within 10%. 2. They are not going to trade Melo to the West. (Lakers, etc) 3. Knicks, Nets, etc. who has a better offer than Loul and 1st rounders. The knicks and nets cleared so much money, they dont have a tradeable guy to match Melo's money. Even a deadbeat with an expiring contract. No saying they cant get one, but I am pretty sure they cant trade a free agent signing for 6 months. So even if they get a guy like a Tmac, you can't just move him right away. If I knew I had a last shot at it, and I had to give them Noah for melo, OK, but I think right now, they dont have to. Yes, good game of poker |

The Nicks do have Eddy Curry on a $12MM expiring deal. But why would the Nuggets want to take an expiring and save cap room for next year as Melo is the only Blue Chip on the market now that Durant has re-signed. I guess Dwayne Howard is available in 2012, but he's not going to Denver. |

I agree with you. It's about time for the Bulls to put on the poker face. For years they have been used as patsies. This time I think you may be right. They seem to have the best package to offer. The issue I see with it is they are probably gonna want him to sign an extension. If he is unwilling to do so he will be a little tricky to deal if not impossible. |

I understand not getting taken but I think this is one of those situations where you do whatever you have to do to get him. Ive long thought Melo would be the best of "The Class" (LeBron, Wade, Bosh) to go alongside Rose. He's the only one who's a pure scorer that doesnt need to handle the ball all the time. I cursed the Nuggets for resigning him early. I wanted the Bulls to have a shot at him. Now that they do, Gotta close the deal. |

The 2011 class is full of 'role players' and no one to take your team to the next level. I see guys like Caron Butler, David West, Zack Randolph. Meh. |

Nets have pulled out of deal per ESPN. Too much of a cap hit for Denver apparently. Didn't want to take on more money and be a worse team. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/news/story?id=5627011 |
