"It's so hard to say," Jordan told the newspaper. "I think he is always going to be within the conversations of some of the greatest players who've played by the time he is finished. Where does he rank among those, if you are talking about positions? If you are talking about guards, I would say he has got to be in the top 10."

The rules did change a lot in the favor of the offensive player since he left. If Kobe could score 81 points Jordan could at least have done 90 in his prime.

I believe him. He probably would have averaged 40-45 ppg the with the soft ass defense that played these days

Jordan would have had a much better chance at scoring 100 now than he did with the "old rules". Not sure if he would have actually done it, but the chances were better.

Lots of people lost a lot of money betting against him. I don't think it's a ridiculous statement especially if he put up 63 shots like Wilt did

I think it's pretty safe to assume that on a day that Jordan was good enough to score 80+ that he would have a higher than career average day shooting the ball. He'd probably shoot in the .600's like Kobe did.

Wilt used to say the same shit after he retired. I think Wilt even said he'd give it to Shaq in his prime.

Could MJeff score 100 nowadays? It's possible. It also depends on if we're talking Jordan in his first prime, or his second prime. I think young, just started lifting weights MJ (89-93) could avg 35-40 in this league easy. Jumpshot/fadeaway MJ would find it more difficult even though he'd be on the line a lot. He def couldnt play his brand of defense anymore, that's for sure.
