I was talking with a couple of friends and we think that the NBA might have fixed the playoffs. The NBA did not want Detroit or Pheonix in the NBA Finals because the Pistons are old and everyone knows their players and none are really stars however Miami has DWade and Shaq. In the west the Suns have Nash but he's not really a star player. Marion is awesome but the casual fan does not know about a Shawn Marion or a Boris Diaw. In Dallas they have Dirk a younger star who is going to rise to a level with Kobe, Wade and LeBron. The NBA was disappointed when the Cavs did not beat the Pistons because they didn't get a Wade-LeBron match up. The NBA is all about finding new stars and rivalries to return to the Michael Jordan era of basketball. Overall, I don't believe this theory 100% but it makes sense and seems to have a true possibility of actually being true.

Well shit, if you were talking to a couple of friends then it must be true. It's amazing how Stern has the ability to make the Pistons miss easy shots. If the fix was in why didn't they make it Kobe vs. Lebron. This crap will never stop. So I guess I'll stop fighting the battle. I'll just leave reminding people that fixing games is a felony and I doubt David Stern, who's 60 years old, making 10 million a year, would risk fixing games to get an extra ratings point for ABC. I know thats a stupid thought on my part. Jesus Christ.

Some friends and I were talking over the weekend, and we think that Dusty is going to learn how to handle a pitching staff, and the Cubs will end up winning the World Series.........(heavy sarcasm)

The friends part is not important, I see no reason why the NBA couldn't fix games to get the match ups they want. Face it the NBA has been struggling during the past ten years and it needs to be rejuvinated. It makes sense to get the great match ups.

OK, but you're acting like a commercially attractive finals matchup definitively proves the existence of a conspiracy. This is faulty logic and makes you seem even dumber than your moniker suggests you are.

Do you have any evidence that the semifinals in either conference were rigged by NBA officials?

If games were fixed we would have had Jordan/Shaq in the finals in both '97 and '98.....The games aren't fixed the referees are just horrible.

I feel enlightened, I now agree that the these games are not fixed, thanks for opening my eyes and now I can enjoy the NBA Finals.

Sorry, but sarcasm can mask neither your bad logic nor the lack of evidence to support your claim.
