will ben gordon light the bulls up for 30 tonight? will derrik rose make gordon look mediocre? will ben gordon make ben gordon look mediocre? who knows, all i know is this game will either be scary if we lose bad or meaningless if we win big. lets hope to see luol deng have a good first half of the season in hopes he becomes trade-able. i also expect joakim to have a huge game... |

gordon just lit up the bulls for 13 points in 9 minutes. 47-32 with just a few minutes left in the half. rose is just starting to wake up, this game might look over but it doesnt feel like it. |

I didnt see the game cuz I was working. I checked the score thoughout the night and gave up checking before the fourth qtr started. What the hell happened? I heard the crowd was into it but was this the Bulls (Rose) showing how good they are or does Detroit suck that bad? A win is a win but is the Bulls being good or the Pistons sucking ass? Recap anyone? |

James Johnson was a defensive force in the 4th quarter. Luol Deng played terrible and couldn't get his sorry ass of the bench down the stretch. |

i think it's a combination of the pistons sucking and derrick, at least in the early season, saying "fuck it i'm the #1 scoring option on this team" i mean, derrick went 3-7 from beyond the arc last night.... seven three point attempts for d-rose in a game? yeah. the pistons have ben gordon, 5 years $55 mil, coming off of the bench (and after jason maxiell and t-mac came in) and then charlie villanueva (5 years, $35mil) coming off of the bench jacking up 8 three pointers. that said, the pistons did play the thunder much tougher than the bulls, as it took a jeff green layup in the closing seconds to seal the deal (and then the pistons, sans timeout, called a play where big ben gordon left his torch at home and managed to dribble away the remaining few seconds of the game without taking a shot) but then again it was the thunder's first road game and they're prolly like "oh it's just the pistons... who cares?" any team still starting ben "body" wallace at center is bound to suck. i loved hearing the platitudes noah spouted about how he has so much respect for "body" because he learned so much from him during his time as a bull. wasn't "body" the guy who held a team meeting to suspend noah for a game during the jim boylan regime? |

thats how i remember it sinicalypse. noah doesnt dwell on those kind of things though; he either really does appreciate wallace's game or he is just smart enough to say what youre supposed to (or both) the internet feed i was watching the game on went out at the half.... that sucks man, i knew the bulls would bounce back. i really wanted to see that. i might have to buy the nba package just to watch the games online... |

oh shit i forgot about that, they do that every year. im such a fuckin idiot i think youre right about noah. when he called that team out the way he did i instantly became his biggest fan. that guy said to those millionaires what all of us 8-5 joes say all the time. it was brilliant, and i think jim boylan is a fuckin douchebag the way he let the players handle that. it was because he knew noah was also talking about him, and instead of looking in his own mirror he throws noah under the bus by not doing a thing. i bet that incident was the moment jim boylan would never be considered for head coach ever again. and the best part is noah went on to become of the best defensive players in the league, showing how right his original words to that team was. |
