Does anyone else agree that their floor is really ugly?

I'm finding the game hard to watch and I think it's because of the floor.

It also might be due to the fact that both teams suck right now.

6 pm games are hard because a lot of people aren't home yet, or are still helping kids with homework or some other type of crap I'd assume.

Good thread title Beni.

im watching the cleaveland broadcast, and the announcers still think scott skiles is the head coach for the bulls....

otherwise they have been giving chicago a ton of props. they talk about rose like he might be the best player in the nba. they also said how nice it was to have a player who LIKES playing in his hometown, unlike someone else they knew

welp i ended up out and about but managed to catch most of the end. besides, they say that you only really need to watch the last five minutes of a NBA game, right?

ideally you don't want to see the bulls toil and trouble and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with a now 7-15 team. still, one of the things i learned from the jordan years is that you're going to have those nights where you take the W however the fuck you can get it. i'm not saying that the bulls are necessarily the kind of defending-champion squad where you always have a target on your back, however, throughout the course of a season you're going to have nights like this where you're waist-deep-in-the-muck with a bum team and you need a clutch and-1 from your burgeoning superstar to cement the victory... and yeah, once again seeing derrick rose deliver in the clutch is a sight for eyes-sore-from-the-last-13-seasons-of-bulls-basketball.

we had the (elton) brand new era, then the baby bulls era, and then the high-character-big-college-program-do-it-the-right-way by-working-hard-trying-harder-and-playing-defense era: the net result was one winning one playoff series (over a BRENLY CERTIFIED(tm) dead-ass team) and a moral victory playoff series (aka defeat) while making a bunch of stupid moves (skiles staring down lamarcus aldridge to the point of saying "fuck him" and drafting tyrus/trading-for-viktor-khryapa... ben wallace, BIG MONEY FOR LOL DENG and almost ben gordon) so after three failed rebuildings it is so goddamn refreshing that the try-hard bulls managed to not make the playoffs one stinkin year which allowed the so-not-rigged draft lottery system to reward one of the league's flagship franchises with a bonafide franchise player in derrick rose.

you know what? before the edit i had 3-4 paragraphs of analysis of derrick rose's game and a barbed shot at people who only read the last sentence of my threads but fuck that... i'll summize it quickly: derrick has substantially improved his game from year to year (16.8ppg -> 20.8ppg -> 25.1ppg, and then his 3pt %s are 22%, 26%, and now 37%, along with this year marking 4 3pt attempts per game, up from ~1 attempt per game the first two seasons) and all of a sudden his assists have gone up from the traditional 6 per game to 8 per game)

derrick has clearly put in blue collar effort on his jump shot and that's combined with his god given ability and given the bulls their first bonafide franchise player since michael jordan. i still think that the bulls as presently constituted are likely a quality "fuck you i'm scoring" 2-guard or type wing/3-type player away from being a bonafide contender though. i don't trust LOL deng to be a #3 or even #2b scoring option in the clutch, and despite hub's claims of otherwise, i hate his contract and only find respite in the fact that he finally figured out to take his usual ~19 foot jumper back a couple'a steps and jack up threes, as like rose he's gotten to that ~4 attempts a game plateau with a ~39% success rate. they're the only thing that make his on-pace-for-a-career-low 42.4% field goal percentage stomachable.

the problem is that LOL is paid like he's one of the "big three" on a contender and suffice to say that's not the case. with that 42.4% field goal percentage and a robust 2.5 assists per game, more often than not LOL deng is the place where the bulls' offense goes to die.

blah blah blah one more self-editing thing i saved y'all a long paragraph about how i pray that LOL deng doesn't hamstring the bulls' ability to get a quality 2-guard or 3/wing player who can say "fuck you i'm scoring" enough to put the bulls in the position of being a legitimate contender. noah is very valuable to this team with his ability to work the offensive glass and turn slop into points, i mean tonight he went 5-13 for 13 points with 14 boards... that's nothing to sneeze at and clearly the guy has played beyond my expectations for him when he was drafted... and it says something that after ben wallace and the boys went over boylan to suspend him he ended up being a vocal presence calling the bulls out for being a dead ass team and actually backed it up with hustle, effort, and dare i say PASHIN.... but still, realistically he's your only tradeable commodity and a big reason anyone might be out-of-town-stupid enough to take on LOL deng's deal if a well-paid-player were to come back.

on paper you see LOL's 18 points 6 boards and 2.5 assists and see him shooting ~39% from 3pt range and go "that's not that bad in fact that's quite serviceable" but anyone who watches the bulls knows that he is easily the most frustrating player on this team. he's mostly basketball-retarded in that his best move is lunging at the basket and trying to draw a foul, that is, if he doesn't try to make a basketball move and lose the ball after 1-2 dribbles. as i said before, at least he took his love of the ill-advised 19 foot jump shot and manages to step back a few feet and take more in-rhythm threes, which are perhaps his only really timely contributions to this team. otherwise, i might have to pull a bernstein and say that no NBA team will win a championship with LOL deng as their #2b/#3 offensive option.

and wow, i edited away all of that babbling to replace it with more babbling.... but who gives a fuck? within the day this thread will begin its pilgrimage towards the ass-end of the bulls sub-forum and start flirting with the hot prune that will one day bring forth its demise, so really, even though it was kind of arrrrghhhh to see a darkside post about how nobody reads what i write, in the end, i have a cariacture to live up to as yet another panther mult.

THE PRECEDING POST IS IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH THE CENTER FOR QUALITY BULLETIN BOARD EXPERIENCES (CFQBBE) AND IS IN NO WAY INDICATIVE OF THE THOUGHTS, TRENDS, STYLES, OR EVEN ESSENCE OF THE CSFMB. THE PRECEDING AUTHOR WILL FACE PUNISHMENT VIA RIDICULE AKIN TO RUBBING A DOG'S NOSE IN THE SHIT HE JUST TOOK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE KITCHEN FLOOR. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE IN ONCE AGAIN DEALING WITH THIS MENTAL PATIENT.

That was some bad basketball last night. But these are the types of games that good teams find a way to win. Under Vinny, this team would have folded.

I don't remember if this was the play where Rose went weak side for an offensive rebound, then emphatically stated in his best Stacy King voice "Bitch don't touch my candy" as he wrestled the ball from two defenders...popped straight up with his back to the basket and squeezed an amazing shot off the glass whereby he exclaimed to anyone listening "Now pick that wrapper out of the net bitches".

Frustrating game, but a great 4th quarter. Steemers were throwing some serious crap at the rim in that 4th. That was just some really bad ball management. King and Funk were just abusing that kid Gibson and he deserved all of it.

ONward christian soldiers, Lakers and the antichrist await.
