It's official now, the Bulls will be facing the Pacers in the first round.

This is going to be a sweep. The Bulls pretty much dominated Indiana during the regular season except for their last game which was a Loss in overtime. That game doesn't necessarily worry me because the Bulls played about as shitty as they could that night, and still almost came away with the win.

I watched a bit of the Pacers game last night (not sure why) and while I understand the announcers and players have to put on a brave face, it was kind of ridiculous. Jeff Foster talking about a "playoff run"...uh, yeah a run of 4 games maybe. looked like there were maybe 2000 at the game too. I wonder if they'll even sell out their home games

The home games will sell out for them, but I guarantee at least half of that crowd will be Bulls fans. Playoff tickets will be hard to come by at the United Center, so this will probably be an alternative for some fans.

Yeah, good point. I'm sure the Rose MVP chants are going to be deafening there

I just read that this is Mike Dunlevey's first playoff series. That's pretty sad for a guy that's been in the league for 9 years.

Those yawns you are hearing in the background are executives from ESPN/ABC Sports. Even though the Bulls will likely have the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference, I have this feeling that ESPN/ABC wants nothing to do with Derrick Rose's Bulls and this first round NBA Playoff series vs. the #8 seeded Pacers. I hope you are ready for a lot more Scottie Pippen trying to get a word in edgewise on Comcast SportsNet with Neil Funk & Stacey King and TNT calling this series nationally when the NBA releases its playoff schedule after the Bulls & Nets wrap up the regular season next Wednesday. This Bulls/Pacers' matchup is not "Must See TV", at least from ESPN/ABC's perspective...

Don't get me wrong...The Bulls should win this series in no more than 5 games, but from a TV angle, ESPN/ABC want nothing to do with this series.

Just looked on ticketmaster for tickets for Games 3&4 in Indiana. Plenty of good seats available for around $40. Not bad compared to what tickets are going for in Chicago.

Going to Indy is almost as close for me as any of the other outings this board plans...

So the Bulls have the 1 seed locked up?

Pretty sure they have to beat the Celtics tonight to guarantee #1. Even if they lose I cannot imagine the Bulls dropping the number of games they would have to drop to well drop to #2.

They're in pretty good shape. I don't see how they can screw this up. A win tonight would pretty much seal the deal. I don't want to have to edit this thread.

Problem. Z usually bums a ride from Spaulding.

I just looked at the breakdown. Bulls have a 3 game lead right now. A win by Boston tonight would give them the tiebreaker and cut the lead to 2. I don't see the Bulls blowing an additional 2 game lead if they lose tonight. A win clinches the #1 spot.

Howard and Q Richardson are both suspended for Sunday's tilt against the Bulls. I think we can book that #1 seed. Tonight is the last decent test for the team until the playoffs.

Just bought tickets for Game 3 in Indy. One of the two Ticketmaster security codes was "multerness". I laughed out loud.

The schedule hasn't been revealed for this series, but as I posted this morning on my Facebook page, look for the Bulls & Pacers to tipoff the NBA Playoffs Saturday, and here's why. The United Center's other tenants, the Stanley Cup Champion (for now) Blackhawks, have the place Sunday night when they host the Canucks in Game 3 of their own NHL Stanley Cup first round series. As for the exact time when the Bulls & Pacers will tip, that's the big question. This much I do know. ESPN or ABC will carry it, but I tend to think the four-letter, all-sports network will have the opener...

The last time I was at a Bulls playoff game was in '96. The last time I was at an event in Indy was to see Pink Floyd in '94.

Let's see, 9+6=15, 9+4=13, 13+15=28, 28=7x4, 7+4=11. Therefore the Bull win the NBA championship in 2011. You can't argue with numerology, folks.

I may have to see if there are any good seats left and take in a game.

Yeah, I was just looking myself. You can get seats for as low as $20.

I think Game 4 should be on Friday night. For the Bulls' last game at Indy, I got a great deal on a hotel that was three blocks from Conseco. Tons of bars around for after the game.

Pacer fans are harmless, but got pissed at the 'MVP' chants for Rose. About his third trip to the foul line, they began chanting 'ACT'.
