Apologies to Ike. Only 1 game during the week. Rose eating his waffles. It's going to be a good day. Last time the Bulls play the Clipped this year. Time to avenge for a poor showing against VDN and blabby Baron. Bulls 109 Clipped 93 Rose goes 11-11 free throws |

Bulls game thread titles are only allowed on the day of the game. I'm sure Ike will let it slide this time. |

Aaapp. Yet another CSFMB faux pas. Can't help it. Feeling real good about this team. This 1 game in 6 days crap good for Rose, but brutal for me. |

There's no way Da Boo drop the season series to the Clip Joint. Bulls are a better team now than when these teams last met up. |

It's hard to believe, but the L.A. Clippers have won 8 straight home games for the first time since they moved from San Diego in 1984 and played their home games at the downtown L.A. Sports Arena. That being said, I'd like to see the Bulls start their 5-game ice show road trip with a 10 point road "W" over ex-head coach Vinny Del Negro and the STAPLES Center's other NBA tenants Wednesday night. |

I would predict a greater margin of victory, but even with Thibs coaching up the troops I don't know if we can slow down Griffin. Does Thomas have that Garnett type love tap in his arsenal? |

Vinny is getting Clipped tonight. Scalabrine goons it up and breaks Griffin's ankle. Bulls win 167-102. |

Blake Griffin is a Ginger. He must be destroyed. Send Scalabrine. Only a Ginger can destroy another Ginger. Although I bet Ranger wrecked Ginger. |

I would have much rather seen a Griffen-door reference in the thread title. |

Stacey dropped a new one tonight after, I believe, a nice transition dunk: "LET ME STEP BACK AND KISS MYSELF!" lol. speaking of LOL, check out the stats from his last 3 games... Luol Deng 20.0 PT .507 of 13.8 FG .826 of 4.6 FT .440 of 5.0 3P 7.8/2.0 RB 3.6 AS 0.4 BL 1.4 ST 1.6 TO 2.6 PF 39.0 MN 5/5 GS (last 5 games) LOL deng absolutely offends my basketball sensibilities most times, but like, if the guy can do this consistently in the playoffs, yeah, I'm game. He's had good playoff series in the past... he usually shoots ~46-47% plus and gets his 18/8 swerve on but what's that one signature moment where you were just like OMFG THAT'S LOL DENG THAT'S MY FORWARD!!!! YEAH!! I fear that he could end up being the bottleneck on this team. He's been a solid playoff performer, but dammit, I'm greedy and I want championships so I want LOL to do something that makes me forget about disappearing in the 08-09 season... I mean, if he's such a big part of the Bulls, would he have put them over the top against the Garnett-free Celtics in the 2009 playoffs? SHOW ME SOMETHING LOL! ...although I expect him to have a few ~3-13 type games real soon now, while his overall FG% serenades the 44%-tile. |

This was one of the best road efforts of the season for the Bulls. They controlled the game from start to finish against a team that has been red hot at home. Griffin was mostly a non-factor in the 2nd half and seemed to be getting a bit rattled by the hard fouling and defense the Bulls were bringing to him later in the game. I haven't seen much of Griffin this year other than the highlight reel dunks, but he is just awful defensively. You would think for a guy who is so quick and strong, that he would be able to D someone up. He got burned multiple times throughout the game though. |

I don't see the lack of D changing anytime soon. I have seen a couple of Griffin games. Griffin has a tendency to get thrown off his game when he's pushed around or crowded. I knew last night the second half would spell the end of Griffin's offensive output and the end for the Clippers. Thibs coached em up at halftime and applied the necessary defensive pressure. VDN does what he does at haftime...nothing. |

beni hanna wrote: Griffin has a tendency to get thrown off his game when he's pushed around or crowded. This seems like a no brainer to me. If you keep him in front of you and grounded, most of the things that he does well disappear. Let him get to the rim a couple times and just foul him hard. He isn't a good foul shooter either, so it makes sense to just put him to the line. I thought Griffin was going to start to cry after a couple of the hard fouls Big Sexy gave him. After that he kind of just vanished from the game and was mostly a non-factor. |

Learning to defend at the pro level is usually the biggest adjustment for rookies to make. Also, look at his coach. If he had a coach who actually preached and taught defense, he'd be better equipped to stay in front of his man. But Vinny just throws out the ball and lets em recreate. It's no surprise that Derrick and Luol have stepped up defensively this year. |

I wouldn't call those flagrant either, but they were much harder than what Boozer did. |

Man Griffin got jobbed on this call. They called it a flagrant 1. I think an argument could be made that this wasn't even a foul. Horford grabbed Griffin's arms for contact and lost his balance. story and video link http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/20 ... hawks.html |
